2 BUTECH 2009 Busan, South Korea May 2009 Flights to Busan You can reach Busan with almost all European and American airlines. Most likely you will have a stop in Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN). Most connecting flights to Busan depart from Seoul Gimpo Airport (GMP). There is direct railway service between the airports. The duration is approx. 30 min. The airport in Busan is called Gimhae (PUS). The airport is located west of the city with a distance of approx. 20 km to the BEXCO exhibition center as well as to the official hotels. Busan Busan, also known as Pusan, is a metropolitan city of 4 million habitants which is situated on the south-eastern tip of the Korean peninsula. The city is located on the 35th North latitude and covers an area of 762 square kilometres (comparable to Hamburg). Busan is the second largest city in Korea, after Seoul. With its deep harbour and gentle tides Busan could enter successfully into the biggest container handling port in the country, becoming the third largest harbour of the world. The Venue The Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) has a main hall with 26,466 square meters, which corresponds to a size of 3 football fields. This hall is completely free of pillars. Together with other small halls and conference rooms, BEXCO is one of the largest exhibition grounds of South Korea. It has state-of-the-art facilities for fairs and congresses.
