2 AAPA s past Emergency Response conferences have been resounding successes and this year s event is a much awaited one. Government Agencies and Authorities Emergency Response Service Providers Themed Teamwork, the focus is on the the importance of good teamwork and interaction between relevant parties in times of crises as well as in the emergency response framework. All planning and preparations are made by the AAPA Emergency Response Planning Work Group through its Conference Planning Task Force members comprising Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, and Singapore Airlines. Conference Aims To provide a forum for information exchange on effective emergency response planning and preparedness. To promote greater awareness among airlines, airports, and authorities about emergency planning issues specific to the Asia Pacific region. To promote mutual understanding and to encourage a cooperative spirit among all parties concerned during emergency situations. To promote the understanding of the diversity of cultures in the Asia Pacific region, and to provide insights into its unique cultural and religious concerns when providing humanitarian assistance to victims and families. To address major challenges faced by planners in the aviation industry, highlighting compliance issues and best practices within the region. To provide insights into special resources for humanitarian assistance within Asia Pacific. Who Should Attend? Conference Venue The Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur has been selected as the conference venue which is strategically located in the heart of the Golden Triangle and within a short walking distance to the Petronas Twin Towers and shopping centres.
