2 \ DenPasar2017 is a group exhibition that is part of CushCush Gallery s (CCG s) series of programs that provides a platform for young artists and creative communities from various fields in Bali to come together and create artworks. In keeping with CCG's goal of actively seeking fresh perspectives, potentially intertwining the different disciplines and contemporary art and design to interact and collaborate, DenPasar2017 aims to represent the aspirations of creative generation in the present. Denpasar is the capital of Bali province, and it is where the business center and seat of Bali s government are situated. The city has its own charm, with a more diverse communities resulting from a large number of settlers that have since become residence of Denpasar. These diverse communities live side by side, enriching life in Denpasar. Denpasar literally means Pasar Utara (North of Market), that reinforces the important role of the market in the development of Denpasar city as it has become today. For this reason, Market is picked as the theme for DenPasar2017 exhibition. For DenPasar2017, CCG invites artists and creative communities/ creatives to understand and respond, and give meanings to the understanding of Market in Denpasar. These responses will be presented in the form of 2 dimensional artworks (60x40cm) as DenPasar2017 exhibition at CCG. CushCush Gallery had an open call in January and February 2017, inviting artists and creative to participate in DenPasar2017 exhibition, and had selected 17 participants from different creative backgrounds. They include architects, dancers, fashion designers, jewellery designers, graphic designers, photographers, street artists, fine artists and many more. To facilitate the selected participants, CCG held a "Melali Ke Pasar" (journey to the market) event to brief participants in exploring the theme. MELALI KE PASAR was implemented in one day, consisting of 2 parts: DenPasar Talk with invited speakers: Marlowe Bandem and Ayip Budiman. Sharing session with Marlowe Bandem who shared the role of documentation through art and other creative means which is deeply embedded in Bali s culture, and Ayip Budiman who discussed the importance of Sense of place and iconography. DenPasar Walk. After the talk, the participants then went together to a variety of markets in Denpasar by rented Bemo (local van transportation) to experience and explore markets directly.

3 DENPASAR 2017 aims to explore and raise new potentials in the arts and creative communities in Bali, and Denpasar in particular. DENPASAR 2017 hopes to create a platform for works that speak of Pasar (market) and Denpasar, as a form of documentation and creation of new images of Denpasar city in DENPASAR 2017 wishes to promote Denpasar city in the mapping of art, design and creative tourism on island of Bali, by providing artistic perspectives and stories that have not received much attention, and inviting the world to come and wander in the capital of the island of Bali: Denpasar.

8 PARTNERSHIP We are inviting all media to help DenPasar2017 exhibition become a movement: making the whole island of Bali as part of the exhibition space and promoting the city of Denpasar, using the works / artworks of the selected 17 artists. Printed media: Magazines and Newspapers. 1. One full page to display the works / artworks from selected artists Publishing period is from June to December If the media publishes the artworks several times, CCG will choose and prepare a few different Artworks depending on the number of publishing times given, to ensure even exposure for the different participants of DenPasar2017. CCG will include logo of our Media partners on all printed and digital promotional materials, including exhibition banner throughout the exhibition period at CCG. Billboard, electronic billboard, and indoor Advertisements at shopping Mall A billboard to display the works / artworks from selected artists, from May December 2017 period. CCG will provide the artwork materials for your billboards, as a promotion of Denpasar city. CCG shall choose the artwork for all works to ensure even exposure for the 17 participants of DenPasar2017 program. CCG will include logo of our Media partners on all printed and digital promotional materials, including exhibition banner throughout the exhibition period at CCG. 9 SPONSORSHIP DenPasar2017 exhibition is part of a movement to promote Denpasar city in the art, design and creative mapping of the island of Bali. In accordance with this vision, CCG will produce and distribute art + design guide in Denpasar2017 brochures in selected locations throughout Bali. This DenPasar2017 brochure includes a map of Denpasar city, that shares information of interesting places that relate to arts and creativity found in Denpasar. Within this brochure, we have limited slots available for sponsorships, in size 6x10 cm. DenPasar2017 brochures will be produced in minimal of 1,000 copies and will be distributed to information centers such as Airport, hotels, creative cafes, supermarkets and others.
