The following pages will illustrate how you can use the Design Hotels logo throughout your on- and offline communications, maximizing the positive effect on your own brand in an easy 4-step online guide. 3 DESIGN HOTELS BRAND BOOK The Logo 03 MANDATORY STEP ONE THE LOGO Correct use and quality control of the logo is very important. It ensures the effectiveness of every member s communications and marketing efforts, as well as those of the brand as a whole. Pictured on the right are examples of two approved logo formats that can be used by you in advertising and promotional materials. Please choose the format you feel better suites your corporate identity. The following examples shall help you in selecting the right format. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are in doubt. The elements of the Member of Design Hotels logotype the circle and the type should never be separated from one another, nor appear in different colors (e.g. the circle in red and the type in black). The company s Brand Managment team must approve use of the corporate logo by any organisation outside of Design Hotels and our affiliates. Please download the whole logo package HERE. YOUR LOGO The single-lined MEMBER OF DESIGN HOTELS logo should appear in the same height as the hotel s logo.

4 DESIGN HOTELS BRAND BOOK Logo Usage 04 STEP TWO LOGO USAGE The Design Hotels logo is enclosed by a protected space which defines the minimum space between the logo and any other graphic elements. The protected space always equals the diameter of the circular element within the logo.

5 DESIGN HOTELS BRAND BOOK Logo Usage 05 DO'S & DON'TS The color of the Member of Design Hotels logotype can be adjusted to aesthetically match the property s corporate design, but these exceptions must be authorized by the Design Hotels Creative Services department. Please make sure that you handle the Design Hotels logo with care. ALLOWED COLOUR ADJUSTMENTS

6 DESIGN HOTELS BRAND BOOK Logo Usage 06 DO'S & DON'TS Lorem Do not add elements to the approved lockup or place additional elements within the clear space. Do not reconfigure the elements of the lockup. Do not ad another element to the logo! Do not change the shape or the proportions of the logo! Do not seperate the elements from each other! Do not tilt the logo! Do not use a black logo on a dark background! The white version should have been used. A member of DESIGN HOTELS Do not change typography or position of the name! Do not use a white logo on a light background! The black version should have been used. Do not place the logo on a complex image! The area should be uniform. Do not use different colours for each element!

The color of the Member of Design Hotels logotype can be adjusted to aesthetically match your property s corporate design (e.g. both circle and type in red). These two versions are available directly and can be sent to you straight away, but we are, of course, open to customizations using different materials to achieve a look and feel similar to that of your hotel and to seamlessly integrate with the building s architectural and design elements. Just to name a few, material choices from our most recent productions included brushed steel, polished brass, oak and granite.
