Bx 91 Cncessin Stand Requirements The Bridgeville Athletic Assciatin is a nn-prfit rganizatin that depends upn the participatin f its members t make it successful. One f the respnsibilities each family has during the year is wrking in the cncessin stand. T make the Recreatinal and Allstar Seasns truly utstanding fr ur yung men and wmen, the BAA needs yur cperatin with the fllwing: Parents/Guardians are required t wrk tw (2) shifts during the recreatinal seasn fr their first child and ne (1) shift per child thereafter: 1 child =2 shifts, 2 children=3 shifts, 3 children=4 shifts, etc. Each shift runs apprximately 2 ½ hurs. Mnday thrugh Friday shifts will typically run 6:00-8:30 and 8:00-10:30. Saturday shifts usually begin at 8:30 and g cntinuusly thrughut the day. Parents/Guardians are respnsible fr scheduling their shifts. Scheduling will be based n a First cme, First served system using The available shifts will be psted nline apprximately seven t ten days prir t the start f the seasn (mid-april) and yu will be able t select thse shifts by registering thrugh a link n the site. The available shifts will be cntinually updated as games are added r rescheduled due t weather. The BAA will send a grup infrming all families when the nline scheduling may be accessed. Since this is nt suthern Califrnia, rainuts will ccur!! A rainut des nt cunt tward yur required shifts. If yur shift is rained ut, yu are respnsible fr rescheduling. Buyuts are available at $ per child. The buyut fees allw us t pay fr wrkers t cver unfilled shifts. We have had many students interested in earning cmmunity service time! We are thrilled t be able t prvide this pprtunity. Hwever, a parent/guardian must accmpany the student. N child under the age f 16 is permitted behind the Cncessin Stand Cunter. If the Buyut Optin is nt selected, families will be required t prvide a Pst-Dated Check in the amunt f $100 fr each child during registratin. If yu satisfy yur shift requirements by the end f June, the check(s) will be shredded. If yu d nt satisfy yur shift requirements by the end f June, the check(s) will be cashed. We have s many parents that vlunteer their time; it is simply nt fair fr thse wh d nt. Any revenue generated fr the rganizatin is made pssible by ur vlunteers, s please d yur part t supprt the kids f the BAA. If yur child is ffered a rster spt n an Allstar Team at the end f the regular seasn, additinal cncessin stand shifts will be required in rder t help the turnament functin. Caches will have and exhibit a desire t teach all players - nt nly their child. Caches will set the example fr players, peers, and spectatrs in their attitude and their actins. This includes use f language that is apprpriate arund yung children and parents. Caches will prmte respect fr Umpires, Parents, Peers, and ppsing Caches. Disagreements will be handled away frm the players and Caches will nt penly dispute r argue any decisin by an fficial. Caches will strive t prvide psitive feedback t players alng with authentic praise in rder t encurage greater levels f sprtsmanship, effrt, desire, and knwledge. Caches will use apprpriate levels f intensity fr children. Excessive yelling will nt be permitted - especially at their wn child; Enthusiasm withut intimidatin. Caches will be n-time fr practices and games and will enfrce/bey all BAA rules. Caches will cnduct a pre-seasn meeting with players and parents/guardians t discuss seasn expectatins and t establish a caching philsphy. Caches will keep persnal issues ff the field. If an ff-field issue is affecting a Cach's demeanr, he/she will take a day ff. Caches will encurage players and peers t have FUN while playing, learning, and teaching. Guidelines regarding abusive r questinable behavir fllw, but may be adjusted by the BAA Bard as required: 1 st Offense - Cach receives a written warning by the BAA Bard. 2 nd Offense - Cach is suspended fr three games r the next playff game if ccurring at the end f the seasn with less than three games t play. 3 rd Offense - Cach is relieved f duties and reinstatement fr the fllwing seasn must be reviewed by the BAA bard. BAA Bard reserves the right t deny Caching access t any BAA team during the remainder f the seasn r in future seasns fr multiple ffenses. Players will be n time fr practices and games and will be prepared with the prper equipment/unifrm. Players will encurage their teammates instead f becming angry r teasing them when they struggle. Players will set the example fr thers t fllw in their wrds and their actins bth n and ff the field. Players will be respectful t players, caches, parents, spectatrs, and fficials by using prper manners and decent language. Players will wait a minimum f 24 hurs after a game r practice t apprach a cach if they dn t like a caching decisin and will invite their parents t jin the discussin if they are uncmfrtable discussing the issue alne. Players will treat ppnents the way they wuld like t be treated Players will nt bait, ridicule, threaten, taunt, r engage in physical vilence. Players will refrain frm penly disputing r arguing an fficials decisin and will nt display any sign f dissatisfactin with an fficials decisin. Only the Head Cach may discuss a call with the fficials. Parents will help their player t be n time fr games and practices which includes spending time t teach him/her hw t rganize equipment the night befre and prepare a water bttle befre practices and games. Parents will be drug and alchl free during any BAA practice r game. Parents will encurage players t reslve t imprve their skills and t play strnger, faster, and smarter rather than criticizing caches, teammates, r fficials after a game. Parents will spend time with their player between practices and games t reinfrce instructin r t review infrmatin taught by the caches. Parents will nt embarrass their player by yelling at the player, the player s teammates, caches, r fficials. Parents will set the example fr their player and ther parents t fllw by maintaining a psitive attitude tward the game and all f its participants. Parents will applaud a gd effrt in bth victry and defeat fr bth teams and will cmmend their player s psitive actins during practices and games. Parents will never yell r physically abuse their player after a game r practice because it is destructive. Mre than anything, yur player wants t make yu prud. Parents will refrain frm displaying inapprpriate and disruptive behavir and interfering with ther spectatrs r the game. Games will be stpped and the fficials will identify vilatrs t the caches fr the purpse f remving the ffending individual frm the viewing area. If the spectatr has nt left the viewing area under a reasnable amunt f time, the game will be called (at the fficials discretin) and the team assciated with the ffender will frfeit. Parents will wait a minimum f 24 hurs after games r practices t discuss any caching decisin regarding their player and will present the matter t the Head Cach in a manner that is cnducive t prblem slving. Inapprpriate r disruptive behavir shall include, but nt be limited t, vulgar r bscene language at any time, taunting, baiting, ridiculing, threatening, r physical vilence twards any player, spectatr, cach, r fficial. Issues that remain unreslved after arbitratin by the Discipline Cmmittee will be presented t the cmplete BAA Bard f Directrs fr reslutin amng all parties invlved.
