It has been referred to as the Post Trust Era. Introduction to Emergency Management 8:30 AM 4 PM $295 This workshop is geared to introduce certified operators, supervisors, and managers to their responsibility for emergency management. The workshop combines presentation of material with shared discussion by the participants to help cement the ideas and concepts presented. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to describe the difference between a plan and a program, what components make up an emergency program, what a response plan is, and be able to develop emergency operating procedures for specific emergency activities. The result will be a thorough understanding of the development of emergency management as it relates to their jobs. Tour: Penticton Public Works Yard and Advanced wastewater treatment plant 8:30 AM 12 PM $40 The tour will start with a walk about the City of Penticton Public Works Yard, where you will be treated to a show-and-tell about their operations including Public Works, Electrical Division, Parks, and Fleet Operations. Following which you will bus to the Advanced Waste Water Treatment Plant, where you will see their Effluent Heat Recovery and Reclaimed Water for Irrigation systems. You will be bussed back to PTCC to enjoy lunch before you head out.
