OUR MISSION With the mission to drive, inspire, showcase and demonstrate innovative and sustainable solutions in tourism, IMPACT Travel & Tourism Conference is presented by a partnership between Tourism Victoria, Synergy Enterprises, Beattie-Tartan Creative Communications and Starboard Enterprises. The title IMPACT Travel & Tourism Conference was chosen to convey the importance of tourism as an economic driver as well as the large footprint it has on the environment, social and cultural fabric of a destination.

2 WHY DID WE CREATE THIS CONFERENCE? Designed for tourism industry leaders and operators, the academic community, NGOs, as well as tourism boards of all sizes and policy makers, IMPACT Travel & Tourism Conference s mission is to convene thought leaders who will together build a legacy for tourism in Canada. The conference is driven by a desire to align all segments of Canada s tourism industry behind a plan to achieve economic, cultural, social and environmental sustainability. Tourism connects people with place and explores the history, culture and society that adapted to Canada s unique physical environment. Sustaining the authenticity of these destinations and experiences, their economic contribution and minimizing the negative impact on local communities and the natural environmental requires careful planning and design. For over a decade the Canadian tourism industry has undertaken initiatives to address sustainability and the future legacy of our country s largest industry. While there have been niche and regional successes, Canada lacks a comprehensive national sustainable tourism vision and strategy. Our goal is to launch that vision and strategy following the inaugural event in Victoria, B.C., in January 2018, and build upon it, year over year.

As conference organizer and host, we will strive for radical and continual improvement and be open and accountable. We will share our environmental and social commitments, metrics and results with our stakeholders and delegates. Each stakeholder will walk away with tangible actions and arrive home knowing their exact impact. Wi-Fi Sponsor Exclusive $5,000 Sponsoring the Wi-Fi connection at the conference will put your company name and logo front and centre for all delegates to see. Wi-Fi access will be handy to all those working between sessions and looking to connect to our mobile app without using their data plans. Monday through Wednesday the conference kicks off with a continental breakfast in the pre-reception networking area. A Night at the Museum Closing Night Reception Exclusive $25,000 Our closing night stand-up dinner reception will be hosted by the Royal BC Museum. Delegates and guests will be treated to a custom grazing menu, themed on the various displays throughout the museum. Fresh oysters, salmon lox, dim sum, classic charcuterie and other delectable selections will be offered. This is the event of the conference.
