2 CONFERENCE INFORMATION We are delighted to announce that the 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Society of Breast Radiology (BSBR) will be held at the Hilton Gateshead, Newcastle from the 4 th - 6 th November The 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting will commence with lunch followed by a Breast Imaging Research Network Workshop. This will be held on Sunday 4 th November, after the Exhibition set up in the Gateshead Foyer and Hillgate Room on the ground floor. Sunday 4 th November will conclude with a sponsored drinks reception to be held within the exhibition area. WHO ATTENDS THE CONFERENCE? The conference will be host to over 300 delegates, primarily from the UK. The meeting is aimed at those who have an interest in the field of diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, including radiologists, breast clinicians, public health clinicians and radiographers. KEY TOPICS This year, the conference will have a very extensive programme including the following key topics: Current trials in breast imaging and treatment Pre-operative diagnosis and staging of breast cancer Hot topic: artificial intelligence At this stage, the conference programme is still being finalised, however once this has been completed we will distribute this information to all exhibitors. BRITISH SOCIETY OF BREAST RADIOLOGY The British Society of Breast Radiology (BSBR) is a specialist organisation for medical professionals, consultant radiographers and advanced radiographic practitioners with an interest in breast imaging. The aim of the BSBR is to foster interest in breast imaging, to support education of breast imaging professionals and to promote research. It also has a role in developing national guidance and providing advice on professional matters such as workforce planning. The Breast Group of the Royal College of Radiologists was founded in 1988 and in 2014 the Group became the British Society of Breast Radiology (BSBR). The BSBR: Provides a forum for discussion of radiological matters relating to breast disease and breast screening, arranging its own annual scientific meeting specifically for this purpose Supports local and national initiatives for research into breast imaging and related topics Acts as an authoritative source of advice to the Royal College of Radiologists and the Department of Health on issues such as professional standards and training requirements relating to breast imaging Maintains close liaison with other professional groups with interests in breast disease, related diagnostic practices and other associated activities. 2

4 VENUE AND TRAVEL INFORMATION VENUE: HILTON NEWCASTLE GATESHEAD, NEWCASTLE, UK The main meeting will commence with registration at 08:00hrs on Monday 5 th November and will conclude at 16:25hrs on Tuesday 6 th November All lectures will take place in the main auditorium (Pipewellgate and Oakwellgate) with the exhibition and catering located in the Gateshead Foyer and Hillgate Room. Further exhibition, catering and posters will also be located in Hillgate Room and the registration area will be located in the hotel lobby. Hilton Newcastle Gateshead is situated in the heart of the city centre, right next to the Quayside with delightful views of the River Tyne and the city. MONDAY 5 TH NOVEMBER 2018 Conference Drinks Reception and Conference Dinner - 19:00 00:30 - The Baltic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne The BALTIC is a centre for contemporary art located on the south bank of the River Tyne alongside the Gateshead Millennium Bridge in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. It hosts a frequently changing programme of exhibitions and events, with no permanent exhibition. It opened in 2002 in a converted flour mill. The Baltic Flour Mill was built by Rank Hovis to a late-1930s design by architects Gelder and Kitchen and completed in It was extended in 1957 by the addition of an animal feed mill and it was one of a number of mills located along the banks of the Tyne, all of which, due to their size, were prominent local landmarks. The mill was then closed in 1981; however Dominic Williams won an architectural design competition in the mid-1990s to convert the 1950s Baltic Flour Mill into a centre for art. After ten years in the planning and a substantial capital investment, Baltic opened to the public at midnight on Saturday 13 th July An early exhibit of the Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara, A Japanese girl, can be seen in the window of the east elevation. 55 each (VAT included). 8

15 British Society of Breast Radiology Annual Scientific Meeting 2018 Exhibition & Sponsorship Terms and Conditions Venue : Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Organiser : Hampton Medical 1. The Exhibitor/Sponsor agrees to pay for the level of support selected on the booking form at the rates stated. 2. Payment for exhibition space and/or sponsorship items shall be made by the exhibitor within 30 days of an invoice being issued by the Organiser and in advance of the first day of the conference. Payment must be made in British Pounds. 3. The Exhibitor agrees to erect its stand by 12:00hrs on Sunday 4 th November 2018 and to dismantle the stand no earlier than 13:00hrs on Tuesday 6 th November No nails screws or other fixtures may be attached to any part of the venue including floors and ceilings. No painting of any part of the venue is to be carried out. The Exhibitor shall be responsible for any charges incurred by the venue for any damage or disfigurement caused by the Exhibitor or its agents. 5. The Exhibitor will ensure that its employees and contractors will at all times act in accordance with the reasonable directives of the Organisers and will conduct themselves in an orderly manner and in full compliance with the reasonable directives and requirements of the venue management and with all applicable laws ordinances and directives. 6. The Organiser shall not be liable for any claims arising from loss or damage from any cause whatever in respect of any property brought to the venue by the exhibitor or by a third party hired by the exhibitor. The Exhibitor shall indemnify the Organiser for any claims arising from death, bodily injury or damage to property arising in connection with the installation or supply of any mechanical equipment or exhibit or stand supplied by the Exhibitor or anything permitted omitted or done thereon. The indemnity shall include any claim for consequential loss and all actions, proceedings, costs and demands for each and every claim. 7. The Exhibitor shall affect adequate insurance in respect of public liability ( 2 million) and shall on request provide the Organiser with satisfactory evidence that adequate insurance is in force. 8. In the event of postponement or cancellation of the Exhibition for any cause not within the control of the Organiser the Organiser shall not be liable to the Exhibitor in respect of any actions claims costs or expenses including claims for consequential losses. If the Exhibition can be postponed or rearranged the contracts for space shall be binding on all parties. In the event that the Exhibition is cancelled or abandoned by the Organiser with no intention to rearrange at a future date, the Exhibitor shall be entitled to a refund of the Exhibition Fee. 9. The Exhibitor may increase the size of the exhibition stand area after signing this agreement at the same rate per square metre as previously agreed but subject to the further availability of suitable exhibition space at the Venue. 10. If the Exhibitor withdraws from the exhibition after signing and returning the booking form they will be liable to pay the following cancellation fees: On or before 5 th August % of total space cost After 5 th August % of total space cost 11. A pre-condition of you being allowed to set up your exhibition stand is that you will provide us with a copy of your Health & Safety document, Risk Assessment and Construction Phase Plan (if applicable) no later than 7 days before set-up day. 12. Please note we do not allow complex stands. 13. Non-complex stand designs will require sign off and must be submitted 7 days before setup day. 14. Table top stands are not deemed as non-complex and therefore do not require structured plan submission. 15
