5 Lindbergh City Center Beltline Proposed Parks, Transit and Lindberg Trails Center map by Mary Richardson Bobby Jones Golf Course Decorative Arts Center The BeltLine is a $2.8 billion redevelopment project that will shape the way grows over the next several decades. The project provides a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting 45 neighborhoods directly to each other. The BeltLine is the most comprehensive economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of. Even though the project is not due to be completed until 2030, many of the parks and trails are already under construction. There has been a surge of community support for the Beltline. Communities located along the corridor often come together in support of the project in the form of walks, tours, parades, art exhibits, and meetings. The Beltline staff has created several avenues for educating the public about the projects. Population projections suggest this trend is likely to continue.
