7 Program Notes Can A Cub Scout Attend Without A Parent? From the Guide to Safe Scouting In special circumstances, a Cub Scout whose parent or legal guardian is not able to attend an overnight camping trip may participate under the supervision of another registered adult member of the BSA who is a parent of a Cub Scout who is also attending. The unit leader and a parent or legal guardian must agree to the arrangement, and all Youth Protection policies apply. At no time may another adult accept responsibility for more than one additional non-family member youth. When camping, no youth is permitted to sleep in the tent of an adult other than his own parent or guardian. Put boys together in a tent, and non-parents can set up a tent nearby for supervision. Activity Consent Form Required See Page 8 Tigers/Wolf should be accompanied by a parent. Tentative Menu Saturday Lunch Hot Dog, Chips and a drink. Saturday Dinner Pasta Pasta with tomato sauce, on the side chicken nuggets or meatballs, garden salad, bread, juice, water and coffee for adults Sunday Breakfast Continental Breakfast donuts, bagels, fruit, juice, and coffee quick and easy so that we all can get home. Model Rocket Launch We invite each Pack or Den to build a model rocket kit (before the event) to launch at our big blast off activity. Don t spend a lot of money on your kit as Seton is a heavy wooded area and there s a good chance your rocket may got lost in the trees. Estes offers good starter kits at under $ Rocket engines must be under the control of the adult leader. We will have a few launch pads, but if you have one please bring it. This will be a controlled and supervised launch. We re looking for someone (or a Pack) to run this event. The official uniform for the weekend is the Space Jam T-shirt. Above is a concept design and actual t-shirt may vary. Boy Scouts will be serving as Staff for our Webelos WOW program.
