We kick off with an opportunity to come together to create something great and a chance to network, so don t be late. That should get you warmed up for what is to come for the next three days. The business sessions will provide the opportunity to be inspired by leading Australian and international speakers looking at world fads and trends, challenging change, and advocating for a safer social media environment and moving towards equality for women. IAN ASHCROFT CHAIRMAN NATIONAL RETAILER COUNCIL 8TH JULY 08 9:45AM-0:05AM Ian has completed his second year as the IGA National Retailer Council Chairman. Ian will start the conference with a national council update and the focus areas of the group over the coming year, supported by Deputy Chairman Ben Ryan. Many retailers invest a significant amount of time and effort into meetings and retailer working groups around the country, and the outcomes and direction for the brand as a result of these will be shared by both Ian and Ben during this session. JEFF ADAMS CEO, METCASH GROUP 8TH JULY 08 0:05AM-0.30AM Jeff has over 40 years of international retail experience across domestic and international businesses in the United States, Europe, Asia, Central America, and the Middle East. Most recently, Jeff was Chief Executive Officer of Operations for Turkey at Tesco Kipa. Jeff served as an Executive Vice President of Operations at Fresh & Easy Neighbourhood Market Inc. from 008. Before moving to Fresh & Easy, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tesco Lotus since 004. He was instrumental in starting Lotus in 993. SCOTT MARSHAL CEO, SUPERMARKETS & CONVENIENCE 8TH JULY 08 0:45AM-.30AM Scott began his career with Metcash in the grocery warehouse 5 years ago as a storeman. He moved across to liquor before undertaking various roles across the business culminating in him being appointed CEO of ALM in December 03. In March 08 Scott was appointed CEO, Supermarkets & Convenience. He has experience in all aspects of our business and has worked in warehousing and operations, sales, retail operations, state general management, merchandise and marketing. He believes strongly in partnering for better outcomes with both our retailers and suppliers.

She is Vice President, Trends & Marketing at CCD Innovation, a strategic food and beverage innovation agency based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her success at placing trends in a larger societal and cultural context comes from her background in culinary arts and restaurant hospitality as well as her Master s work in Gastronomy at Boston University. GLENN MCGRATH CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT OF THE MCGRATH FOUNDATION DAY 9TH JULY 08 9:0AM-9:40AM Glenn McGrath has achieved many milestones throughout his illustrious cricket career and through his role as President of the McGrath Foundation. His success to date has seen him become one of Australia s most popular and well respected athletes. In 008, Glenn was named as a member of the Order of Australia for service to cricket as a player and later that year he was the recipient of the NSW Australian of the Year Award in recognition of his dedication to the McGrath Foundation and his contribution to cricket. Damon Winter - The New York Times/Redux ICA LEWINSKY SOCIAL ACTIVIST, GLOBAL SPEAKER DAY 9TH JULY 08 0:45AM-:30AM Monica Lewinsky is a social activist, a global public speaker and a consultant who advocates for a safer social media environment and addresses such topics as digital resilience, privacy, cultivating compassion, overcoming shame, and equality for women. In 04, she authored an essay, Shame and Survival, which was nominated for a National Magazine Award. Her 05 TED speech, The Price of Shame has been viewed over million times. Monica is an ambassador for The Diana Award s Anti-Bullying Program and Bystander Revolution, and is a founding board member of the Childhood Resilience Foundation.
