I is an rmy odernization rogram that addresses a critical capability gap created by the on-ine of ight annon termination in une of 2009 as well as obsolescence and size/weight and power (Wa) issues in the 109 o current leet. he I system integrates current radley ighting ehicle suspension and drive train items, uture ombat ystems () developed lectric un rive systems and current fleet (1096) fire control systems into a new chassis that provides better force protection, survivability and mobility over the current fleet.
