Initial pares ($ in illions) lyaway nit ost ($ in ollars) ross/weapon ystem nit ost ($ in ollars) escription: High obility rtillery ocket ystem (HI) is a -130 transportable, wheeled, indirect fire, rocket/missile system capable of firing all rockets and missiles in the current and future ultiple aunch ocket ystem amily of unitions (). he system includes a launcher, two e-upply ystems () and the. n consists of a e-upply ehicle (edium actical ehicle eplacement () based truck with aterial Handling quipment) and a e-upply railer. he is a family of rockets and missiles capable of attacking a variety of tactical and operational targets, providing the requisite range and lethality to support maneuver commanders. HI will provide the leet arine orce with 24-hour ground-based, responsive eneral upport/eneral upport einforcing (/) indirect fires which accurately engage targets at long range (60+K) with high volumes of lethal fire under all weather conditions throughout all phases of combat operations ashore including irregular warfare and distributed operations. HI is a significant improvement over currently fielded ground fire support systems. uring a 24-hour period the system will be expected to conduct multiple moves and complete multiple fire missions. HI will satisfy the arine orps requirement for an indirect fire system that is responsive, maneuverable, and capable of engaging targets at long range.
