4 RECOMMENDED TOOLS: Hack saw, pipe jint sealant, screwdriver, level, 12" adjustable wrench, 10" pipe wrench, 5/64 hex key wrench, 9/16, 1/2, 7/16 scket wrench r pen end wrench. LOCATION OF UNIT: The Mdel 1501 Drinking Funtain is a wheelchair accessible drinking water facility. The height dimensins shwn, meet current ADA requirements. When installing this unit, lcal, state r federal cdes shuld be adhered t. If height ther than shwn is required, then dimensins must be adjusted accrdingly. SUPPLY LINE: The minimum recmmended line size is 1/2 IPS with psi (2-6 ATM) flwing pressure. Where sediment r mineral cntent is a prblem, an inlet filter is recmmended. PLUMBING CONNECTIONS: Inlet is 3/8 O.D. cmpressin fitting. Waste trap utlet is 1-1/4 IPS. MAINTENANCE: Peridically clean the strainer. Refer t 5874 Valve Manual fr mre infrmatin. TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM REPAIR CHECKLIST 1. Insufficient bubbler flw. 1a. Check that inlet screwdriver stp valve is in wide-pen psitin. 1b. Verify minimum 30 psi flwing supply pressure. 1c. 5 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE Refer t Installatin Drawing fr munting height. Fr steps belw, refer t explded view. Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Step 4: Step 5: Step 6: Step 7: Step 8: Step 9: Step 10: Remve elbw, hex lck nut and washers frm bubbler heads, set aside. Install bubbler heads thrugh receptr. Install respectively rubber washer, fiber washer, then nut nt bubbler shank. Securely tighten nut. Install elbw int bttm f bubbler head. Remve push buttn assembly frm 5874 valves with spanner wrench prvided. Be sure t als remve (chrme plated) ring nut and (chrme plated) washer frm valves. At this pint, carefully fllw installatin instructins shwn n page 5 f 5 f 5874 Valve/Push Buttn Operatin and Maintenance Manual under heading: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR 5874PB Make the fllwing tubing cnnectins: Frm bubbler t the utlet side f cntrl valve. Place strainer int receptr (using putty), secure in place using a fiber washer and lck nut. Munt funtain with back panel t munting plate using 3/8-16 hardware (prvided). Flush supply line t clear debris. Cnnect t a 1/2 NPT supply line and tighten. Make certain that funtain is level and well secured t wall. Cnnect waste trap t a 1-1/4 IPS waste pipe (t be supplied by custmer). Cmpletely pen the screwdriver stp (nt supplied) and check fr leaks. Adjust valves fr desired flw height. See 5874 Valve Manual (supplied).
