2 Overview As per IATA Industry Standard, the OB tax cde is defined t cllect Ticketing Fees r Credit Card Fees. The Airline files these Fees thrugh ATPCO. In 2007/2008, IATA and the Airlines agreed n implementing the Ticketing r Credit Card OB fees that apply t issued ticket transactins when the frm f payment is by credit card. On Nvember 2 nd 2011, the Lufthansa Grup airlines (Austrian Airlines, bmi British Midland Airways, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss) intrduced the Ticketing fee r credit card fee that applies t tickets paid fr by credit card fr travel riginating in the fllwing cuntries: Finland The Netherlands United Kingdm Germany Switzerland Belgium After the evening f Nvember 10 th 2011, Apll subscribers in Canada, Japan and Mexic will see these fees autmatically captured as part f fare qute, shpping, fare strage, and ticketing. The Airlines file Ticketing fees r credit card fees thrugh ATPCO based n the fllwing factrs: Validating Carrier Pint f Sale/Ticketing Fare Basis Cde Passenger Type Cde Gegraphy Accunt Cde Ticket Designatr Apll fares system applies these criteria autmatically, adding OB fee data in the fare qute and cllecting at the time f ticketing. The OB fee amunt varies by itinerary type and airline. These fees can apply fr specific classes f service, there might be sme classes f service exempt n the same flight. Page 2

3 The OB fee prcessing is driven by the validating carrier at the time f string the fare and issuing the ticket. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Apll system des nt validate the OB fee data by the Frm f Payment added in the PNR. In sme cases, there may be an ver-cllectin f fees. It is highly recmmended t verify the frm f payment when OB fees are quted fr the itinerary and if OB fees d nt apply, remve them frm the fare qute using the tax exempt GTE mdifier per the belw example. Travelprt is creating an applicatin t assist in remving thse fees fr all nn-credit card frms f payment and LH Airplus debit cards. We will cmmunicate the availability f that applicatin as sn as it is cmpleted. These fees are reprted t BSP, data is transmitted t ther systems such as Itinerary and Invice, MIR, Viewtrip and Travelprt Bking Feed (TBF). The OB fee data appears n the Electrnic Ticket Recrd (ETR) and Passenger Itinerary Receipt (PIR). Applicability The Ticketing r Credit Card OB fees fr the Lufthansa Grup apply as fllws: - Any pint f sale, except the US market. - Itineraries that riginate in the fllwing cuntries: Finland The Netherlands United Kingdm Germany Switzerland Belgium - When the frm f payment is by Credit Card. Ticketing Fees r Credit Card Fees fr Lufthansa Grup d nt apply fr the fllwing: - The frm f payment is LH UATP card that begins with and bin numbers. - When the frm f payment is nt by Credit Card. - When the airline files exceptins fr a certain fare basis cde, accunt cde, etc Manual Fares r Pricing Recrd - If Ticketing r credit card OB fees apply, this data needs t be added as a tax in the tax screen f the Pricing Recrd. - The Ticketing r credit card OB fees cannt be added as an XT tax cde.
