1 WEEKLY INCIDENT REPORT Month; Apr 09 15, 2018 DANGEROUS GOODS On 11 April 2018, a b train semi-truck transporting 55,000 litres of gasoline (UN1203) had driven off of the road at Mile 543 of the Alaska Highway, 1 hour from Watson Lake, near the Liard River. MOE RO raised this incident to CODE 2 status due to the potential environmental impact. On 13 April 2018, there was large sediment or silt release in Silver Creek at the Kinder Morgan site at Underhill Avenue and Shellmont Street in Burnaby. MOE RO raised this incident to CODE 2 status due to increased media coverage of the event. ENVIRONMENTAL On 09 April 2018, the Penticton EPC was engaged by the local fire department to respond for a landslide near the Upper Carmi area of Penticton. Landslide was caused due to melting snowpack. On 09 April 2018, an event was opened to cover First Nation impacts for the CTL region. On 09 April 2018, Cache Creek s Chief Administrative Officer requested a task number to cover spring readiness. On 10 April 2018, a landslide occurred in the city of Vernon impacting approx. 200 homes. EOC was activated at a level 1 as a result. On 10 April 2018, protection works were performed in response to imminent flooding that could impact 12 residences on Powers Creek at Gellatly, in West Kelowna. On 10 April 2018, protection works were performed in response to imminent flooding on Mill Creek, in Kelowna. On 10 April 2018, an incident was opened in response to potential overflowing of the holding ponds at the Kelowna Landfill, on John Hindle Drive, near Kelowna. On 11 April 2018, an incident was opened to cover flooding in Sicamous, within Columbia Shuswap Regional District. On 11 April 2018, an EOC was opened in the City of Penticton in response to freshet flooding, within and near the community. On 11 April 2018, a task number to cover activation for Spring Freshet flooding within CTL Region. On 11 April 2018, an incident was opened in response to flooding near Sportsman Bowl Road, within the Town of Oliver. On 11 April 2018, an incident was opened in response to flooding near Sportsman Bowl Road, within Okanagan Similkameen Regional District

Debris completely covered the highway and vehicular traffic was diverted to alternate routes. On 13 April 2018, an incident was opened in response to flooding near Fairview Golf Course, within the Town of Oliver. On 13 April 2018, an incident was opened in response to flooding at Ellison Lake and Middle Vernon Creek, near Vernon within Okanagan Indian Band land. On 14 April 2018 an incident was opened in response to a landslide affecting two properties in Garnet Valley Road of Summerland. EVIDENCE SEARCH On 12 April 2018, West Coast Inland SAR assisted RCMP in the search for evidence connected to a body that was found on the beach in Ucluelet. MISCELLANEAOUS On 10 April 2018 ESS Quadra Island volunteers assisted the local fire department with food/beverages for fire fighters, who responded to a land clearing fire that got out of control on West Road, Quadra Island. On 14 April 2018, an incident was opened to track provincially coordinated FN training

SAR was stood down that afternoon, when it was discovered that the man self rescued. NWE VIR INLAND WATER INLAND WATER Terrace SAR members re-activated for the missing male near Terrace. Terrace SAR performed multiple sonar drops of the lake, nothing located, and the RCMP suspended the search Campbell River and Comox Valley SAR members responded to locate a missing boater from the Marble Creek/ Alice Lake area. The crews were unable to locate the boater. RCMP stood down SAR until further notice. NEA LAND Robson Valley SAR members responded to rescue an injured snowmobiler in the Allen Creek area. Once rescued, the subject was turned over to BCAS Air Ambulance. SWE LAND Whistler SAR members responded to locate a lost 15 year old hiker in the Cheakamus River Trail System, near Whistler. The subject was located and reunited with parents. SEA LAND Golden SAR members responded to Kicking Horse Mountain for a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle owner lost his keys and was located, unharmed. SEA LAND Fernie SAR members responded to rescue an injured party following a snowmobile roll-over north of Barns Peak. The SAR team rescued the subject and passed him off to BCAS, for treatment. SEA LAND Revelstoke SAR members responded to rescue an injured skier who had sustained an arm injury on the north face of Mount Cartier, near Revelstoke. SAR located the subject and passed him off to BCAS. SWE LAND Squamish SAR members responded to locate two lost hikers on the Chief. The SAR team located the subjects and walked them back to their vehicle. SWE LAND Whistler SAR members responded to locate a lost 17 year old snowboarder on the south side of Whistler Mountain. The SAR team located the subject and skied out with him to the RCMP. CTL INLAND WATER 4 4 Kelowna Marine Rescue members responded to a report of a boat adrift in Lake Okanagan. Marine Rescue located an unoccupied boat. SWE LAND members of Central Fraser Valley, Mission, Surrey and Maple Ridge SAR responded to locate a despondent male at the Campbell Valley Park in Langley. The individual was found alive and well in Vancouver. VIR LAND Powell River SAR members responded to rescue a male with a shoulder injury on the Sunshine Coast Trail. The BCAS crew was able to access the patient and the SAR team was stood down.

5 15 16: : WEEK TOTAL YEAR TO DATE SWE LAND Chilliwack SAR responded to locate a missing hiker on Elk Mountain. SAR was stood down when the hiker made it safely out of the area. VIR LAND Powell River SAR responded to locate lost hikers on the Sunshine Coast Trail near Mount Troubridge. The SAR team guided the subjects to the emergency shelter ELT ELT - 0
