3 ACCOMMODATION Reservation directly at the conference venue (Hotel Caro) can be made: by or by phone: or At check-in in the hotel, please announce that you attend DISC 2011 : The price amounts to 65,-/night/single room and 75,-/night/double room; 4 stars facilities. Hotel accommodation is at own expense and to be booked on your own. If you don t wish to stay at Hotel Caro, you can find further hotels enclosed. Should you arrive/depart by airplane, there will be a shuttle service offered by AFDJ from Bucharest / Otopeni Airport to Hotel Caro and back from Hotel Caro to Bucharest / Otopeni Airport. Should you arrive by car, you can park your car during your stay in the parking facilities of the hotel for 15 RON/night. Please note that this price is for guests accommodated in our hotel only, the normal fee makes 2.5 RON/hour. As soon as you send us your registration with the expected arrival time in Bucharest, we will fix the times of the shuttle service and inform you regarding the details. 5 ROUTE INFORMATION There will be a shuttle service organized by AFDJ from Bucharest Airport to Hotel Caro on the day of arrival and from Hotel Caro to Bucharest Airport on the day of departure. In case you do not want to take advantage of the shuttle service, please find the route explanation as follows: By air: Airport Otopeni is the city s main airport and at about 30 minutes drive from the hotel, depending on traffic. Bucharest is also served by the Aurel Vlaicu Airport (also known as Baneasa) at about 15 minutes drive from Caro Hotel. By train: The city is well served by the national rail system, Gara de Nord being the main-line station. Caro Hotel can be reached by taxi in about 20 minutes depending on the traffic. The subway can be also used to reach our hotel. From Gara de Nord please take the M1 line one station to Piata Victoriei, switch to M2 and go 2 stations until Aurel Vlaicu. From there you can walk towards the hotel for 5 minutes or you can take the no.5 tram one station towards the Stefan cel Mare Boulevard. By car: Caro Hotel is located on the Barbu Vacarescu Boulevard, in Northern Bucharest. Driving from Ploiesti: driving to Bucharest on DN1, turn left at the traffic light after Baneasa Airport and drive on the Aerogarii Boulevard, continue on the Av. Alexandru Serbanescu Street and straight ahead on the Barbu Vacarescu Boulevard. The Caro Hotel entrance is on the left after the crossroad with Fabrica de Glucoza street.
