1 The Concrete Society Scotland Concrete Industrial Ground Floors The New Guidance An Introduction to the 4 th Edition of Concrete Society Technical Report 34 Afternoon Seminar Thursday 6 th March 2014 Venue: Garfield House Hotel, Stepps The newly published 4 th edition of TR34 supersedes the 3 rd published in It brings TR34 in line with the latest Eurocodes and Standards. In drafting the 4 th edition, the opportunity was taken to completely review and update the structural design procedures for groundsupported and pile-supported floors. Also included in the 4 th edition are changes to floor flatness specifications reflecting European standards, as well as a greater emphasis on floor maintenance. The seminar speakers include people involved with drafting of the 4 th edition. As with previous editions, the 4 th will become the standard guidance document for industrial ground floors. The seminar will provide an excellent opportunity for delegates to be the first to be introduced to the new edition.
