1 The Concrete Society Scotland Concrete Industrial Ground Floors The New Guidance An Introduction to the 4 th Edition of Concrete Society Technical Report 34 Afternoon Seminar Thursday 12 th June 2014 Venue: Hilton Treetops, 161 Springfield Road, Aberdeen, AB15 7AQ The newly published 4 th edition of TR34 supersedes the 3 rd published in It brings TR34 in line with the latest Eurocodes and Standards. In drafting the 4 th edition, the opportunity was taken to completely review and update the structural design procedures for groundsupported and pile-supported floors. Also included in the 4 th edition are changes to floor flatness specifications reflecting European standards, as well as a greater emphasis on floor maintenance. The seminar speakers include people involved with drafting of the 4 th edition. As with previous editions, the 4 th will become the standard guidance document for industrial ground floors. The seminar will provide an excellent opportunity for delegates to be the first to be introduced to the new edition.

2 Delegates can pre-order copies of the 4 th edition of TR34, for collection at the seminar, at a discounted price of 55 for Society members and 90 for non-members. (Publications are VAT exempt). Copies cannot be purchased on the day. The Hilton Treetops, Aberdeen is an excellent venue, with ample parking on site. Exhibitors are very welcome and space will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The space available for an exhibition stand will be approximately 3m by 3m.
