2 n o s s M m w S Vetnam Travel to Vetnam and spend tme teachng vulnerable chldren how to swm Drownng s one of the leadng causes of mortalty among chldren over the age of one n Vetnam. Reasons for the ncreasng number of chld deaths from drownng nclude unsafe envronments, lmted awareness, nadequate adult supervson and a lack of swmmng sklls. It s wdely reported that the death toll from drownng s hgher than the road toll. In partnershp wth Swm Vetnam ths trp wll provde vulnerable chldren wth basc swmmng and water safety sklls. There s also the opportunty to explore the beauty and vbrancy that s Vetnam wth hghlghts ncludng the bustlng cty of Hano, the breathtakng Halong Bay and UNESCO World Hertage stes of Hue and. Swm Vetnam s a regstered charty whch has been operatng n Central Vetnam for 6 years provdng free swmmng lessons to Vetnamese chldren and tranng adults as swmmng teachers. Partcpants wll be followng the Swm Vetnam program and dutes wll be flexble dependng on what s needed at ths tme. To partcpate n swmmng nstructon you should have Australan swm accredtaton and a current workng wth chldren check.

3 Itnerary DAY 1: DAY 4: Upon your arrval at arport look for our drver who wll be watng for you wth a sgn bearng your name. The journey from the arport to your hotel wll take approxmately 45 mnutes and s an entertanng experence full of chaotc traffc, beautful archtecture and overloaded motorbkes. Arrve Free tme to explore the town. DAY 2: Swm Brefng Free day at lesure. Optonal vst to church n Danang Cty. A late afternoon meetng wth the team from Swm Vetnam where you wll be brefed on the swm program for the week ahead. DAY 3: DAY 5: DAY 6: Tonght we meet the swm nstructors for chcken rce at an authentc Vetnamese street stall. Pck up at hotel, transfer to swmmng pool for swmmng nstructon wth Swm Vetnam. DAY 7: Ths afternoon take a walk to the meetng pont of 98 Nguyen Tha Hoc Street, Ancent Town for a cookng class. Startng tme s 2:30pm. Vst s colourful market, and experence ts amazng sghts, sounds and aromas. We wll have the opportunty to nteract wth the local sellers and learn about all the ngredents to be used n the cookng lesson later. DAY 8: We wll board the Red Brdge boat for a lesurely cruse (25 mnutes) along the Rver to the Red Brdge Cookng School. Ths s a chance to vew local rver lfe, so make sure your camera s handy. Leavng today wll be a sad farewell. A transfer wll be arranged to the arport for your flght home f you are only stayng for the swm week. On arrval, we explore the cookng school s herb garden, before learnng about some of s and Vetnam s well known dshes. The cookng lesson runs for about 2 hours the Red Brdge chefs frst demonstrate each dsh before we prepare the same dsh ourselves. Included n the class s a bref ntroducton to Vetnamese food carvng (plate decoraton). After the lesson, we st down and eat what we have cooked. Brng your swmsut - after the cookng tour has fnshed, relax and enjoy free use of our 20 metre swmmng pool - towels and showers provded. Home or Dscover Vetnam Extenson to Hue For those stayng on to dscover more of Vetnam, travel through the outer suburbs of Danang before drvng over the spectacular Ha Van Pass, whch s consdered to be one of the most beautful n Vetnam. On arrval n Hue vst the ancent ctadel and forbdden cty a UNESCO World Hertage Ste. Tonght you wll dress lke an emperor and enjoy a royal banquet. DAY 9: Motorbke Tour Ha No Our gude wll meet you at your hotel and ntroduce you to our hghly sklled and qualfed drvers who are senstve to tentatve pllon passengers and wll travel at a gentle pace of 40km or less. After a safety brefng your adventure begns. Durng the tour you wll rde through lttle laneways, besde canals and through local markets. Vst a kng s tomb, pagoda and local handcrafts. Transfer to the arport for the 1 hour flght to Ha No. Rest of the day s free.

4 DAY 10: DAY 12: Today we wll do a cty tour of Ha No ncludng Temple of Lterature, Hoa Lo Prson, cycle through bustlng old town and end a day by a water puppet show. Wake early for the opportunty to start your day wth Ta Ch and mornng photos, then breakfast before explorng the mpressve Sung Sot Cave. Ha No DAY 11: Ha Long Bay Your journey from Hano to Ha Long Bay wll pass through lush farmlands and local vllages. Upon arrval at the harbour you wll be welcomed on board your junk and settle n for a delcous seafood banquet as your boat gldes through the towerng lmestone karsts. The afternoon s actvtes wll nclude kayakng around the hdden areas of the bay, swmmng and relaxng at So Sm beach and takng an (optonal) energetc clmb to the top of the sland for a panoramc vew of the bay. Back on the boat you wll cruse to the overnght moorng pont where you can enjoy cocktals at sunset wth your fellow travellers before another delcous meal on board your floatng home. Ha Long Bay Ha No Your cruse wll contnue past Ba Hang fshng vllage, Dog Islet and many more scenc formatons. As your boat journeys back to the harbour you can watch the cookng demonstraton before enjoyng a tradtonal Vetnamese lunch. Back on shore you wll then transfer back to Hano, arrvng late afternoon. DAY 13 : Departure Day Today s the chance to do some last mnute shoppng, photography or maybe one more spa treatment! Your drver wll collect you from your hotel and transfer you to the arport for your evenng flght home.
