9 / 02 Functonal prncple of the heatng system 4. Functonal prncple of the heatng system Components Ol/Gas heatng boler Functon Burns fuel ol or natural gas safely and envronmentally frendly. Extracts the heat from the generated combuston gases and transfers t to the heatng water. Calorfer It holds a reserve of domestc hot water for consumpton (e.g. for showerng). Boler control unt Radator, floor heatng Controls and montors the operaton of the heatng boler. Mantans the desred room temperature optmally and fuel effcently, ndependently of the outsde temperature. Releases the heat of the heatng water nto the room. Heatng pump Transports the heatng water from the heatng boler to the radators and back to the heatng boler, where t s reheated. Mxng valve Adjusts the heatng flow temperature by admxng colder return water (water flowng to the radator) to mantan the desred room temperature, ndependently of the outsde temperature. Pressure gauge Dsplays the hydraulc pressure n the heatng system. Ar bleeder Elmnates any ar to make sure that the system contans only heatng water. Safety valve Prevents an overpressure n the system. Daphragm expanson tank Mantans the pressure n the system constant. Hot water and hot water ppes Convey the heat generated from the heatng boler to the radators. 9
