1 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES BENEFITING THE EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT THE CONTEMPORARY AUSTIN OCT 15-16, 2016 LAGUNA GLORIA This fall, The Contemporary Austin hosts Camp Contemporary a two-day camp experience that will transform Laguna Gloria s fourteen acres into an elegant campground for guests at night, followed by interactive festivities during the day. Guests will enjoy artistic performances featuring local artists, live music, a culinary experience, boating in the lagoon, collective art making, and a range of activities throughout the Sculpture Park. Becoming a Camp Contemporary sponsor means becoming a kid for the day, in order to support over 8,000 kids annually. CAMP CONTEMPORARY PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE MUSEUM S INNOVATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAMS, INCLUDING A BROAD RANGE OF ACCESSIBLE, INTERDISCIPLINARY, AND HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND ADULTS CLASSES ADULTS CHILDREN FAMILIES THE ART SCHOOL OFFERS 600+ CLASSES PER YEAR TO STUDENTS AGE FOUR THROUGH ADULT, PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO THOSE IN FAMILY CRISIS AND ECONOMIC NEED. OVER 4,500 ADULTS ATTEND PUBLIC PROGRAMS THAT INCLUDE LECTURES, FILMS, AND PERFORMANCES AT BOTH THE JONES CENTER DOWNTOWN AND LAGUNA GLORIA LOCATIONS. OVER 6,000 CHILDREN (OVER HALF OF WHICH ATTEND TITLE I SCHOOLS) TAKE GUIDED MUSEUM TOURS WITH FOLLOW-UP ART ACTIVITIES. OUR MONTHLY FAMILY PROGRAMS REACH 2,000 CHILDREN AND ADULTS, AND PROVIDE AFFORDABLE ART-MAKING ACTIVITIES FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
