Visit to Birdingbury festival on Saturday 09 th July 2017 Visit to KERALA Boat Race at Darycote water on Saturday 29 th July 2017 Good News A person has been arrested for a Burglary at Woolscott and is currently awaiting court. Anthony NICHOLSON was charged with Burglary in Dunchurch and is currently serving a prison sentence. Thank you to the residents of Stretton who called the Police to report flying tipping, although offender made good their escape, the vehicle used to transport the rubbish was a stolen vehicle which got recovered. A male has been arrested following the Burglary in Longdown Lane, Willoughby and is awaiting court. 2

3 Water Safety Warwickshire Police have been made aware of youths jumping from the water tower into Draycote Water Reservoir!! There are a tragic amount of preventable deaths as people flocked to open water sites not suitable for swimming. These sites included rivers, quarries, lakes and reservoirs all of which have many dangers. They look so inviting but can be deadly. Figures show that on average each year the summer months of July and August witness the most drowning deaths. People need to listen to safety advice and never swim in non-lifeguarded areas unsuitable for swimming. It may seem an inviting way to cool off but there are deadly dangers such as extremely cold temperatures, unpredictable currents, uneven depths and unknown debris or object people can get injured or caught in. Cold Water Shock can happen at any time of the year including just summer. When you jump, dive or fall into cold water, there s an involuntary gasp as the water hits your skin you won t be able to control your breathing. During Cold Shock your blood pressure rises and heart rate increases, and most people (even the best of swimmers) start to panic. 3

Keep them secure by fitting an alarm or a good quality lock. Inc Police received a report about group of youths congregating outside the Village Hall. Inc Biggin Hall Lane, Thurlaston. Police received a call concerning a nuisance scramble bike being riding around the area. Burglary: Inc Woolscott, offenders gained access to property and stolen from within. Enquiries completed (1 Person arrested and awaiting court). Inc Cawston, Between 10/07/ /07/2017, offenders have gained entry to building site and stolen copper piping. 4

Inc Longsdown Lane, Willoughby, offenders gained entry to secure property by and stole from within. (1 arrested and awaiting court). Criminal Damage: Inc London Road, Stretton on Dunsmore. Between Monday 24/07/17 at 2300hrs and 0400hrs 25/07/2017, offender(s) have broken a fence post and removed a gate from its hinges and discarded it. Theft: Inc Wolfhampcote - 15 ewes and 30 lambs have been stolen between 07/06/ /07/2017 by unknown means. Inc Rugby Road, Dunchurch, between 1200hrs 22/07/ hrs 23/07/2017, offenders unknown have stolen diesel from building site. Inc Coventry Road, Cawston. Between 2300hrs 18/07/ hrs 19/07/2017, unknown persons have stolen a 4 ft tall statue of a boy & girl by unknown means from front garden. Inc Frankton Lane, Stretton on Dunsmore. Between 2315hrs 08/07/17 and 0800hrs 09/07/2017. Persons have stolen a caravan from within the secure grounds. Inc Gibraltar Lane, Broadwell. Between 1830hrs 06/07/2017 and 0730hrs 07/07/2017, offenders unknown have stolen 2 x batteries from electric fence. Vehicle crime: Inc 83-31/07/2017 Leamington Hastings. Between 1415hrs 30/07/2017 and 0730hrs 31/07/2017. Offenders have stolen a secure Ford Focus. Ongoing enquiries as believe vehicle may have also been used in crime in Staffordshire. Inc /07/2017 Hockley Close, Grandborough. Between 1900hrs 27/07/2017 and 0630hrs 28/07/2017, offender(s) unknown have smashed windows to secure vehicle, not believe to have been stolen. Inc 98-28/07/2017 Moor Lane, Willoughby. At 1900hrs 28/07/2017. Unknown offender(s) have broken into two secure vehicles and have stolen items from within. Inc Coventry Road, Dunchurch. Between 21/06/ hrs 23/07/2017, offender(s) unknown have stolen a Ford Transit Van by unknown means. Inc Daventry Road, Dunchurch. Between 0230hrs 18/07/2017 and 0700hrs 19/07/2017, unknown offender(s) have stolen white Ford S-Max by unknown means. Inc Daventry Road, Dunchurch. Between 0800hrs 0820hrs 13/07/2017, offenders unknown have smashed nearside passenger window of Silver Corsa, laptops and memory hard-drives stolen. Inc Dunchurch Trading Estate. Between 07/07/ /07/2017 offender(s) unknown have stolen 6 pallets containing clothing from HGV which had been parked in the layby. 5
