1 Braintree Police Station Blyths Meadow Braintree CM7 3DJ Weekly Briefing 12/01/2015 Week Commencing 04/01/ /01/2015 Braintree Witham Halstead A 20 year old female and 19 year old male were given Cannabis Warnings on 4 th January 2015, after being found by police on The Street, Stisted, in possession of cannabis. On the 5 th January 2015 between 1917hrs and 1940hrs suspects unknown have thrown bricks at a lounge window in Dart Close, Witham, causing it to smash through the double glazed glass. Overnight on the 5 th of January, suspects unknown have broken into a Vauxhall Nova in Trafalgar Court, Braintree. Once inside they have hotwired vehicle. They were prevented from taking the vehicle as it had no battery. Two suspects were detained by two local Police Community Support Officers after breaking into a premise on Freebournes Industrial Estate, Witham. A 19 year old male from Maldon, and a 38 year old from Maldon were arrested for theft offences. Between the 5 th and 6 th January, suspect unknown has broken outer layer of a double glazed window on Alexandra Road, Sible Hedingham. alternatively you can call Crimestoppers On 6 th January between 1700hrs and 2015hrs suspects unknown have entered an insecure garage in Homefield Way, Earls Colne. Items stolen from inside include a STHIL and TANAKA Leaf Blower valued at 200. A HAYTER 48 Lawn Mower

Over 200 of DJ equipment was removed from inside the property. A Numark DM1050 professional mixer in black and grey. Valued at 44. A Numark omni controller in Grey. Serial number N Overnight on the 7 th January 2015 an insecure garage was entered in Whiteways Court, Witham. Once inside suspects smashed the driver s side window to a vehicle and searched inside. 150 worth of damage was caused to the vehicle but nothing stolen from inside. valued at 900. This offence occurred in a residential car park. On the same night a Mercedes Van also had the exhaust system, and catalytic converter stolen whilst parked in Abels Road Halstead. regarding these crime please

Essex Police have seen an increase of this type of offence in Halstead over the past few days. A shed was broken in to overnight on the 9 th January 2015 in Observer Way, Kelvedon. Suspects have forced the door by bending the bolt. It is unknown what has been stolen at this stage. Also in the early hours of the 10 th January 2015 an insecure vehicle parked in Observer Way was searched by suspects but nothing was removed. A White Citroen Berlingo van which was parked at the same location was also stolen, by unknown means. regarding these crimes then please contact Braintree Police 555 Overnight on 5 th January 2015 suspects unknown have removed a red Land Rover 110 TDI Defender from outside a property on Colne Road, Bures. alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 Two further sheds were also broken in to during the same time frame, and a vehicle entered by

5 jemmying the door. In excess of 2000 worth of tools were stolen from the sheds.
