2 Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 11/23/2015 9:00pm To: 11/23/ :59pm W Nine Mile Rd. (Church) Locks were pried off. Victim advises sometime between 9:00pm- 11:59pm someone pried the locks off of two Storage Buildings and gained entry into the buildings. Unknown if anything was taken. 11/24/2015 7:20am W Ten Mile Rd. (Church) Attempt on storage shed. Officers responded to alarm at location. Officers were met by two employees from church. Employees advised that there was an attempt on their storage shed. Employees also advised that it appeared that suspect(s) had left behind a cell phone. Evidence was collected by Evidence Technician and incident is under investigation. 11/26/2015 4:23am Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Party Store) Entry was through a vacant adjacent business. Suspect(s) broke out a hole 1 x 3 in the cement wall separating the businesses. Officers entered the vacant business through the broken glass door. Officers observed an attempt to break through the adjacent wall of the businesses just west of the entrance. Some of the dry wall was knocked off the wall, showing the brick wall. Officers checked further and observed the bathroom at the back of the building with a hole (approx. 1'x 3') where the suspect(s) were able to enter the Party Store. The business appeared to be undisturbed and no one was inside. All of the doors to the building were secure and locked. It appears that suspect(s) were scared off by the alarm.

3 11/26/2015 2:09am W Eight Mile Rd. (Commercial- Bake Shop) Rear door was pried open as well as a glass window & door in the front was shattered. Victim advises a nearby business owner called him and told him his business had been broken into. He arrived at his business at 11:00am. It appears that the incident occurred sometime between 8:30pm and the following morning around 11:00am. Rear door was pried open as well as a glass window & door in the front was shattered. At this time it appears that a business phone was taken. The cash registered was knocked to the floor. Southfield Detectives retrieved video from the business next door. It shows three suspects. Two of the suspects were carrying prying devices. processed the scene and collected suspected blood that is believed to be from suspect(s). At 1:49am, 3 males walked east towards the store. They were described as the following'; S1- Light skinned black male 20's/30's wearing a light colored knit stocking cap with a dark trim, dark jacket, dark pants, red/blk shoes. -seen carrying a yellow prying device. S2- Unknown male wearing a dark jacket and dark pants. S3- Unknown male wearing a gray hoodie, gray pants, and black shoes.

5 Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 11/23/ :35am Westover Ave. Attempt on window of garage. Officers were dispatched on suspicious subjects in the area of Hollywood & Westover. When Officer arrived in the area he observed two B/M s fleeing area on foot. The caller had stated she saw one of the suspects pulling on the side door of residence in the Block of Westhampton. Further investigation by Officers led them to another residence in the Block of Westover where it appears suspect(s) attempted to break into the garage at that location. The resident also received a call from her alarm company at 10:43am advising her that there was alarm activation, garage window being the indicator. Officers received information that the suspects had fled south of 8 Mile Rd. on Glastonbury. Officer located the two suspects in the Block of Glastonbury. Officer radioed this information to other units. As marked units came into the area, one of the suspects fled on foot. He wasn t located at this time. The other suspect didn t run and he was detained by Officers. This suspect then attempted to flee from Officers. The suspect didn t run far before he was apprehended. He was taken into custody for Attempt Home Invasion & Resisting & Obstructing. Detectives have conducted follow up investigation into

6 this incident and have developed a second suspect. Incident is under further investigation. 11/23/2015 1:46pm From: 11/24/2015 9:00am To: 11/24/2015 4:45pm Westover Ave Front door was kicked in Ingleside Dr. North entry door was pried and forced open. A neighbor heard a loud noise and then observed a B/M running from his neighbor s house with a TV. The suspect ran to a White 2-Dr. Chrysler or possibly a Dodge Charger and fled south on Evergreen Rd. Officers arrived and discovered good Home Invasion. The Homeowner couldn t be located at this time. Victim advises sometime between 9:00am- 4:45pm someone forced entry into residence through north side door. A safe from the master bedroom closet containing a gun and personal documents was taken. Jewelry was also taken. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should be aware that most burglars target the Master Bedrooms because that s where most people keep things like a safe, guns, cash, jewelry and other things of value. (Find a better place for valuables) A portable safe is only good for protecting items from a fire or if you keep a gun in there it s a safe place to keep it from kids. 7 11/26/2015 5:41pm From: 11/26/2015 8:30pm To: 11/26/2015 9:16pm Westland Dr. Attempt Only on the back door. It appeared to have been pried Mahon Dr. Bedroom window was broken out. Victim advises that he left the home from 2:00pm- 3:30pm. During that time unknown suspects attempted to gain entry to the home by breaking the glass and wood supports on the back door. No entry was made into the home by the unknown suspects. Victim stated he went to see a friend around 8:30 pm. When he returned at 9:11 pm he noticed there were items missing from the residence. R/P also noticed the back door of the porch was open. Officers arrived and discovered point of entry was a bedroom window. The home was ransacked and several items are missing. No suspect info. at this time. 11/29/ :51am Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Storage Units) The protector shield was ripped from the wall allowing access to the unit. Victim states she was last at her Storage Unit on 10/10/2015 sometime in the evening hours. Suspects ripped the protector shield which is held by sheet metal screws away from the wall and gained entry into the Storage Unit. Suspect stole 2- Stereo Speakers and possibly a Flat Screen TV of unknown make and size.

(Commercial- Business Plaza) Northland Dr. (Commercial- Business Plaza) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color GLD - Gold Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style State MI License Year 2106 Description AUTOMOBILE Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2008 Body Style State MI License Year 2016 Description 2008 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER Victim advises sometime between 12:05pm- 1:55pm someone stole her vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the south lot at Apartment complex. Victim stated she parked her 2008 Chevy Trailblazer in the parking lot in the Block of Northland Drive today around 8:00am. Victim returned to her vehicle at 6:00pm and discovered it was gone.

(Commercial- Auto Dealership) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Chrysler Model Town And Country Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year 2015 Body Style VN - Van or Panel Description Mini Van with keys Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Dodge Model Ram Crew License No. Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2014 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State License Year Description 4 door crew cab w/keys Status R Recovered Stolen Manufacturer Jeep Model Commander License No. Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year Body Style 4D - 4 Door State License Year Description 2007 Jeep Notes Stolen Out Of Pontiac Witness (Employee/ Porter) for Dealership stated they start the cars a couple time a week to keep the battery's working. Today employee noticed 2- B/M s in their mid- 20's sitting in a Black Jeep Commander in the area of the running vehicles. Employee thought they were the cleaning guys. A short time later the two suspects were observed driving off in one of their Red Dodge Pickups and a Gray Town and Country Mini Van. Both made a left out of dealership and went south on Northwestern Service Dr. towards Lahser Rd. The suspects left behind the 2007 Black Jeep Commander. It was stolen out of Pontiac. Officers recovered this vehicle. 12 11/25/2015 4:02pm Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Car Rental) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Hundai Model Elantra Color BRZ - Bronze Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State Mi License Year 2016 Description Motor Vehicle Disposition Taken by Suspect Notes Taken with keys. R/P (Representative from Car Rental) stated that on 10/24/2015 a 2016 Hundai Elantra was rented by the suspect. The suspect provided valid Michigan Driver s License and used a corporate account security authorization code from the company. R/P stated he received information from their corporate security that the authorization code that was used had been compromised. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

13 Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details From: 11/23/ :00pm To: 11/24/ :30am Franklin Rd. (Residential- Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2011 Jeep. Victim advises sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 10:30am someone took All Four Wheels and Tires from her 2011 Jeep. The vehicle was parked in victim s carport at her Apartment Complex. 11/27/2015 8:44am Greenfield Rd. (Commercial- Plasma) Windshield Wiper was taken from 2002 Chevy Impala. Victim reported she parked her vehicle on the south side of the building at approx. 7:00am, under a security camera. When she came back out at approx. 830am, she found her driver side windshield wiper missing. Video wasn t available at time of report.

14 11/28/2015 3:52am Berg Rd. (Residential- Apartments) 4- Vehicles were attacked: Honda Accord Foard Taurus GMC Terrain Chevy Impala Southfield Officers were dispatched to Apartment Complex on the report of two subjects walking through the parking lot looking into vehicles and then heard a loud banging sound. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an immediate search of the surrounding area. Officers discovered two White Nautica Make-Up Bags in the middle of the parking lot and it was later discovered that a 2006 Honda Accord had been attacked (window broken out) and the make-up bag was from this vehicle. A K-9 Unit was called in for a track. K-9's track went from the last known area of the subjects to Apartment Complex in the area of Civic Center & Berg Rd. The suspects were not located. Three other vehicles were also attacked and gone through. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

16 Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Church B&E s Two locations had their Storage Buildings/ Sheds broken into. Most likely to take Snow Blowers or Landscaping Supplies. # Block of W Nine Mile Rd. (Church) Locks were pried off two Storage Buildings. Occurred between 9:00pm- 12:00am. # Block of W Ten Mile Rd. (Church) Attempt on Storage Shed. Suspect(s) activated alarm. (Alarm 7:20am) Victims located a cell phone that is believed to have been dropped by a suspect. A suspect has been developed and incident is under investigation. 17 Special Attention: Commercial B&E Block of W Eight Mile Rd. (Commercial- Bake Shop) Review Of Video Evidence By Southfield Detectives: On November 26, 2015 at approximately 1:44am, a light colored possibly Silver Ford Escape or Explorer entered the parking lot. Retail Fraud/ Resisting & Obstructing 1- Arrest 11/24/2015 5:57pm Block of Southfield Rd. (Commercial Retail) Officers were dispatched to business reference Retail Fraud just occurred. Officer arrived and located suspect walking toward Southfield Rd. The suspect when seeing Officers Patrol Vehicle immediately starting running across Southfield Rd. Officer gave chase. The suspect ran into several residential Condo & Apartment Complexes. The suspect eventually came back out to Southfield Rd where other Officers apprehended him. Suspect was taken into custody for Retail Fraud & Resisting Arrest. OWI- 1- Arrest 10 Mile Rd & Greenfield Rd. 2:40am Officers observed a vehicle driving erratically and stopped it. The driver was investigated for OWI and subsequently arrested.

18 OWI- 1- Arrest 11/26/2015 Officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed as well as driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped and fresh accident damage was observed. The driver had the odor of intoxicants emanating from her person. It was later discovered that the driver had struck several mailboxes and a nearby tree. An OWI investigation was completed and the driver was arrested and lodged for OWI. Assault & Battery- Hospital Security Officer- 1- Arrest Block of 9 Mile Rd. (Hospital) Suspect was arrested for A&B after he assaulted a Hospital Security Officer while being discharged. The security officer suffered minor injuries. OWI- 1- Arrest Northwestern/ Civic Center Dr. Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically and stopped it. It was apparent that the driver had been consuming intoxicating beverages. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested.

19 OWI- 1- Arrest 12 Mile Rd. / Franklin Rd. Officer initiated a traffic stop for disobeying a stop sign. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI. The driver was lodged at the Southfield Jail. OWI/ Child Endangerment- 1- Arrest Franklin Rd. & Swanson Officer initiated a stop for an equipment violation. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI and Child Endangerment. The suspect had a young child in the vehicle at the time of the stop. The child was turned over to a guardian and the suspect was lodged at the Southfield Jail. OWI- 1- Arrest 10 Mile & Southfield Rd. 5:20am Officers were dispatched to a slumped subject; driver was asleep at the wheel. Investigation conducted and the female driver was subsequently arrested. The driver refused Breath Test, search warrant was obtained for a blood draw.

20 OWI- 1- Arrest Evergreen Rd. / 10 Mile Rd. Officer conducted a traffic stop. A second Officer made the scene to assist. Officers conducted an OWI investigation. As a result of Officers investigation it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was then arrested for OWI. OWI/ Possession of Marijuana 1- Arrest 696/ Telegraph Rd. Officer conducted a traffic stop. After conducting an investigation it was determined the driver was OWI. She was arrested and charged with OWI. Officer also found suspected marijuana. The driver was arrested for OWI & Possession of Marijuana.
