Tour Price Includes: Pick up from and return to your home - Greater Melbourne, Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong, the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas, Phillip Island and some areas of Gippsland. Travel by our own state of the art luxury coach, equipped with restroom, satellite phone, fold-down arm rests, seat belts and extra leg room. Our coach has a kneeling device and second door for ease of entry and disembarkation. Our coach is also fitted with Road Cam TV monitors which display in real time the road ahead. The coach offers a smooth quiet ride and views through large panoramic windows. Quality ensuite motel accommodation. All tours and interest venues as per itinerary. 4 DAY 1: Monday 9th July, 2018 MELBOURNE TO ECHUCA Welcome to our 5 day tour to Echuca! After completing our morning pickups, we travel along the Calder Highway to Castlemaine where we visit the historic Buda Historic Home and Gardens. The house was originally built by a retired Indian Army officer in 1857, and is a superb example of the Victorian-era colonial architecture. We ll have lunch in Castlemaine before continuing on through Bendigo to Echuca Moama on the Murray River for our 4 night stay. After checking in we enjoy dinner in the hotel s dining room. OVERNIGHT: Comfort Resort Echuca / Moama, MOAMA DAY 2: Tuesday 10th July, 2018 ECHUCA We spend the day today in the local area exploring the port town of Echuca. This precinct became Australia s largest inland port in the late 1800 s and is home to Australia s largest fleet of authentic paddlesteamers. We meet up with our local guide and wander the cobblestone street and view original steam pumps and engines as well as 100 year old red gum timbers on the wharf. We have a little free time for a stroll or a cuppa and then visit Sharps Magic Movie House & Penny Arcade. Situated in the refurbished Old Bond Store, the Movie House runs almost continuous screenings of highlights of Australia's early newsreels, comedy classics and archival shots. At the back of the Theatre is Australia's largest and only working Penny Arcade. Lunch today is with Murray River Paddlesteamers as we get to enjoy a Paddlesteamer cruise along the majestic Murray River. We have one last surprise in store

5 the Great Aussie Beer Shed! This is Australia s first Beer Can, Brewery Related and Australiana Museum. It is the only museum of its kind in Australia featuring over 16,000 beer cans from Australia and around the world. There are other brewery related items too, including beer tap tops, tap handles, trays, old wooden beer barrels, bottles, signs and brewery manufacturing equipment. After a busy day we head back to the hotel to relax. OVERNIGHT: Comfort Resort Echuca / Moama, MOAMA DAY 3: Wednesday 11th July, 2018 DENILIQUIN This morning we drive to Deniliquin, once the southern depot for the Sunbeam - the original Cobb & Co. coach that travelled between Deniliquin and Wilcannia on the Darling River. Today it is a town of around 8,000 people that lies in the centre of the largest area in Australia under irrigation. Rice in particular but dairy, wool and seed processing all contribute to the local economy. First stop is the Peppin Heritage Centre with its story of the wool industry. We are joined by a local guide for a look around the town and then return to the Peppin Centre. Here we will find displays, exhibitions, shops and the original Wanganella lock-up which features a Headless Horseman sound and light show. We ll have lunch, next door and then return to Echuca mid-afternoon for some free time, prior to our special Christmas in July dinner! OVERNIGHT: Comfort Resort Echuca / Moama, MOAMA

6 DAY 4: Thursday 12th July, 2018 TONGALA ROCHESTER MOAMA Today we make our way to Tongala situated in one of the world s best dairy regions. We have time for a wander - be sure to take a look at the wall murals located throughout the town s centre and outside the Nestlé factory. We then arrive at the Tongala Donkey Retreat. The retreat is a 146-acre property offering year-round grazing to more than 100 donkeys. Donkeys by nature are extremely humble and gentle. Some of the donkeys and mules that reside at the Shelter cannot be placed in carer homes. These donkeys and mules will spend their lives living at the Shelter, with a few of the donkeys taking part in public relations or fundraising activities. We continue on to Rochester, famous as the birthplace of legendary cyclist and later politician Sir Hubert Opperman. His statue and museum greet us at the start of the retail precinct. After our light lunch provided by the Rochester Historical Society we have a chance to look around Rochester and take in the true country experience of this friendly little town. Returning to Moama, we visit Chanter Estate Winery and Military Museum. Ian and Mary Ledwidge and family recognising the potential of the rich diverse soil and excellent climate conditions of Moama, established a 20 acre vineyard in 1996 and planted a variety of grape vines. The winery also boasts the largest private collection of military memorabilia in the southern hemisphere, ranging from armoured cars, tanks, amphibious vehicles, gun carriers, motorbikes, half trucks, jeeps, and services memorabilia. After our visit and wine tasting we head back to the motel where we meet up for our final dinner together. OVERNIGHT: Comfort Resort Echuca / Moama, MOAMA

7 DAY 5: Friday 13th July, 2018 HOMEWARD BOUND We say farewell to our hosts this morning and make our way through Murchison on the Goulburn River, to visit the absolutely stunning Noorilim Estate. It is one of the grandest homesteads ever erected in Victoria and reflects the affluence of 19th century pastoralists and their role in building the Australian economy and nation. We will enjoy a private tour of the estate plus a light lunch here. After our visit, we head for home to complete a wonderful Christmas in July trip away! O Shannessy s Tours will not be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour for any such reason. It is also a requirement of O Shannessy s Tours that each passenger is able to negotiate coach steps without the aid of the coach crew or other passengers. Any passenger who requires assistance for any of the above is required to travel with a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance. If you are willing to twin share but are a smoker or have a CPAP machine or snore, you will need to pay a single supplement for a sole use room.
