Started since 1999,CIIF,an UFI-approved event, became a leading event of equipment manufacturing industry in China and also an important vehicles and cooperative platform between China s Industrial insides and global magnates. CIIF 2012, or the 14 session of CIIF, was successfully held from November 6 to 10, 2012 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Themed as Innovation, Transformation and Strategic Emerging Industries, CIIF occupied totally 140,000 square meters space and attracted 1,648 exhibitors from all over the world. Overseas exhibitors came from 23 countries, occupied 31.1% of the total space. Domestic exhibitors were mainly from 28 provinces, autonomous regions and 5 municipalities specifically list in the State Economic Plan. 60 meetings and events were held concurrently. 119,947 visitors from 83 countries and regions and 31 provinces of Mainland China attended.ciif 2012 including registered 105,696 trade visitors from industrial professional scope. According to incomplete statistics, the general amount of onsite transactions reached RMB billion Yuan. CIIF 2012 hit a new record high for whatever the show scale, the geographical distribution of domestic and foreign exhibitors or the number of trade visitors. The level of exhibits and brand show influence will reach to a new level. Even face the global economic downtown and adverse trend of domestic manufacturing, CIIF 2012 created a number of records high and was generally well received by the organizers, exhibitors and professional visitors. CIIF has taken a new pace to showcase the technological advances of the emerging industries, to promote the transformation of economic growth mode, to adjust the industrial structure and the implementation of the national development strategy

3 Exhibitors 1,648 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions Totally 1,648 exhibitors have participated CIIF Of all the show area, oversea exhibitors accounted for 31.1% of the total show spaces, domestic (Shanghai excluded) exhibitors accounted for 41.1%, Shanghai local exhibitors reached 27.8%. Also, there were 1,196 Chinese exhibitors coming from China s 28 provinces or autonomous regions and 5 cities with independent planning, accounted for 72.57% of the total exhibitors. There were 452 oversea exhibitors from 23 countries and regions which accounted for 27.43% of the total exhibitors. Domestic and overseas pavilions still had high enthusiasm of attending and kept steady growth of the exhibiting area. The top 5 overseas pavilions were from Japan, Germany, Taiwan, USA and Italy. The domestic pavilion were mainly from Beijing, HeiLongJiang, HeBei, ShanDong, FuJiang,Anhui,ShaanXi, XinJiang,GuangXi, GuiZhou provinces and ShenZhen. 5 452 overseas exhibitors from 23 countries or regions CIIF 2012 got a higher number of exhibition area, registered 8.9% increase compared with the session of last year.it accounted 31.1% of the total display area. 452 overseas exhibitors covered 2,039 booths were from 23 countries and regions including Japan, Germany, USA, Italy, South Korea, Swiss, UK, France as well as Hong Kong, Taiwan regions and etc. The largest overseas pavilion from Japan leading by Jetro and this year German Trade & Invest GmbH, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry also organized manufacturing enterprises to participate the theme shows under CIIF. 6 After Show Report CIIF November domestic exhibitors from 28 provinces of Mainland China 1,196 exhibitors from 28 domestic provinces and 5 cities with independent planning covered 4,526 booths in CIIF Number of booth surpassed that of last session by 4.1%, hit a record a new high. The exhibitors from 28 provinces all provinces of Mainland China excluded Hainan Province and Tibet Autonomous Region, municipalities and autonomous regions as well as five cities with independent planning like Dalian, Qingdao, Ningbo, Xiamen, Shenzhen, showcased the cutting-edge achievements of high-end manufacturing of China competing with their oversea counterparts. CIIF 2012 demonstrated vitality of China's development of equipment manufacturing industry and Scientific and Technological Innovation, transforming the economic growth mode, adjusted the industrial structure, and implement the national development strategy. 12 60 series concurrent conferences and seminars Forums 60 conferences & forums were held during CIIF 2012 in accordance with the theme as Innovation, Transformation and Strategic Emerging Industries, combined with three parts which is development forum, the SCI-TECH forum and industry/corporate forum. The developing forum included three activities, which is China Industrial Robotics Summit 2012, Clean Energy: markets and rules, and Fashion Design and the city of Design. The SCI-TECH forum, centered with The Academicians Round-Table Conference with the topic The influence of the third industrial revolution and Shanghai s choice, included 21 special academic exchange activities.
