3 CIIF 2013 After show report 3 China International Industry Fair CIIF is jointly organized by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Science, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Shanghai Municipal People s Government, co-organized by China Machinery Industry Federation and managed by Shanghai East Best International (Group) Co.,Ltd. Started since 1999,CIIF,an UFI-approved event, became a leading event of equipment manufacturing industry in China and also an important platform open to the world for international trade, communication and cooperation on industrial field. CIIF 2013, or the 15 session of CIIF, was successfully held from November 5 to 9, 2013 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Themed as Digital Manufacturing & Green Industry, CIIF occupied totally over 160,000 square meters space and attracted 1,979 exhibitors from all over the world. Overseas exhibitors came from 24 countries or regions, occupied 30.1% of the total space. Domestic exhibitors were mainly from 28 provinces, autonomous regions and 5 municipalities specifically list in the State Economic Plan. 53 meetings and events were held concurrently. 139,297 visitors from 83 countries and regions and 31 provinces of Mainland China attended CIIF 2013 including registered 117,826 trade visitors from industrial professional scope. According to incomplete statistics, the general amount of onsite transactions reached RMB billion Yuan. CIIF 2013 hit a new record high for whatever the show scale, the geographical distribution of domestic and foreign exhibitors or the number of trade visitors. The level of exhibits and brand show influence will reach to a new level. 4 4 Exhibitors 1,979 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions Totally 1,979 exhibitors participated CIIF Of all the show area, oversea exhibitors accounted for 30.1% of the total show spaces, domestic (Shanghai excluded) exhibitors accounted for 40.2%, Shanghai local exhibitors reached 29.7%. Also, there were 1,473 Chinese exhibitors coming from China s 28 provinces or autonomous regions and 5 cities with independent planning, accounted for 74.4% of the total exhibitors. There were 506 oversea exhibitors from 24 countries and regions which accounted for 25.6% of the total exhibitors. Domestic and overseas pavilions still had high enthusiasm of attending and kept steady growth of the exhibiting area. The top 5 overseas pavilions were from Germany, Japan, Taiwan, USA and Korea. The domestic pavilion were mainly from Beijing, HeiLongJiang, HeBei, FuJiang, Anhui, ShaanXi, XinJiang, GuangXi, GuiZhou HuNan, Jiling provinces and ShenZhen. 6 6 506 overseas exhibitors from 24 countries or regions CIIF 2013 got a higher number of exhibition area, registered 13.3% increase compared with the session of last year.it accounted 30.1% of the total display area. 506 overseas exhibitors covered 2,311 booths were from 24 countries and regions including Japan, Germany, USA, Italy, South Korea, Switzerland, UK, France as well as Hong Kong, Taiwan regions and etc. JETRO, Korea NEXFAIR, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry and other oversea organizers brought manufacturing enterprises to participate the theme shows under CIIF. 7 CIIF 2013 After show report domestic exhibitors from 28 provinces of Mainland China 1,473 exhibitors from 28 domestic provinces and 5 cities with independent planning covered 5,367 booths in CIIF Number of booth surpassed that of last session by 18.6%, hit a record a new high. The exhibitors from 28 provinces all provinces of Mainland China excluded Hainan Province, Inner Mongolia and Tibet Autonomous Region, as well as five cities with independent planning like Dalian, Qingdao, Ningbo, Xiamen, Shenzhen, showcased the cutting-edge achievements of high-end manufacturing of China competing with their oversea counterparts. CIIF 2013 demonstrated vitality of China's development of equipment manufacturing industry and Scientific and Technological Innovation, transforming the economic growth mode, adjusted the industrial structure, and implement the national development strategy. CIIF is undoubtedly the biggest and the renowned industry exhibitions in China, and we take CIIF as one of our strategic partners. CIIF is one of key marketing events of Phoenix Contact. We have participated for several sessions. CIIF is a platform connecting resources from different business fields for us to get objective for development. The show is an influential trade fair like Hannover Messe. Toshiba (China) Co., Ltd. CIIF is an energetic trade fair. The high-efficient and energy-saving concept and products of Toshiba get a full attention from many trade visitors here. We will promote Toshiba concepts to all business fields through this show. Shanghai Base of Mobile Internet This is our first time to be with CIIF and we get a good feedback. There are 20 key companies of our base brought products. The trade visitors are so much and give attention on our stand and the products. Yamazaki Mazak (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. This is our first time to be with MWCS under CIIF, and we put 3 MAZAK companies in China together. We are happy with the outcome, 2 machines sold, about RMB4,000,000, and we have collected about 100 potential buyers information, which is actually beyond our expectation. CIIF is a good platform to MAZAK, and we will participate in MWCS2014 for sure. Sonlight Technology Co., Ltd. Sonlight is a intelligent LED lighting control solution provider. The stand of our company got a great much of trade visitors seeking factory lighting energy-saving solutions. CIIF is a good platform for us to know a lot of new clients. Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co.,Ltd. It has been the JAC s third year to participate the show. And we receive good feedback every year. There are many trade visitors on-site. We will continue to attend this show next year. ZEP Inc. This show provides us a chance to contact with our clients. We brought cleaner for manufacturing appliances. Total overseas visitors were coming from 82 countries and 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of Mainland China. 13 13 Forums 53 series concurrent conferences and seminars 53 conferences & forums were held during CIIF 2013 in accordance with the theme as Digital Manufacturing & Green Industry, combined with three parts which is development forum, the SCI-TECH forum and industry/corporate forum. The developing forum included three activities, including China Industrial Robotics Summit 2013, China Smart City Industrial Development (Shanghai) Forum. The SCI-TECH forum, centered with The Academicians Round-Table Conference with the topic Drive and Innovation by Big Data, included 18 special academic exchange activities. Industry and business forums mainly around the release and exchange of new products, new technology, closely integrated with the topics of CIIF and the theme shows, organized a total of 31 activities. The forum topics focus the forefront of issues of technical, economic and management aspects of the world in the development of the equipment manufacturing industry, highlighting the cutting-edge, forwardlooking, professional, academic, nearly 8500 spectators arrived at the scene, and achieved a good response.
