He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without me you can do nothing. John 15:5 April 6, 2018 Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! As President of the LWML New Jersey District, I invite you to attend our 24th Biennial Convention at the Hyatt Regency Morristown in Morristown, NJ which will open at 7:00pm on Friday, August 17th and end at 12 Noon on Sunday, August 19th. Please join us for this exciting and inspiring time together! CONNECTED TO THE VINE! is the beautiful theme for our Convention, based on John 15:5 (quoted above). Throughout this Convention, we ll be exploring - and celebrating - what it actually means to be Connected to the Vine, through worship, Bible Study, singing, servant events, and fellowship. So be prepared for fun times as we conduct the business of the LWML New Jersey District and enjoy our time together! We re very excited and honored to have Rev. Dr. John & Monique Nunes, President & First Lady of Concordia College Bronxville, joining us as our keynote speakers on Saturday night. Our LC-MS New Jersey District President Tony Steinbronn and Rev. Michael Dunn will speak at our Saturday buffet luncheon on the NJ District Disaster Relief response to Hurricane Harvey. We will also be honoring our Pastors during a special recognition program during our Saturday luncheon. Donna Pyle, noted author and Bible teacher, will be leading our Bible Study on John 15:5. We ll also have Marilyn Schroeder, our National LWML Treasurer, as our special guest for the Convention. We re also very excited that our Convention will be held at a destination location - Morristown, NJ - known as the Military Capital of the American Revolution. We will hold our Mission Prayer Walk on the historic Morristown Green on Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm, which will be a wonderful witnessing opportunity. We also have historical tours before and after our Convention that you ll want to check out! We encourage everyone to bring family members, friends and guests to our Convention at the Hyatt Regency Morristown as we share the love of Jesus Christ and Serve the Lord with Gladness! In His Love, Arlene Arlene Price President, LWML - NJ District
