2 We are pleased to invite you to the 2018 CUSA Conference in Edmonton, Alberta, hosted by the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, the University of Alberta, the University of Calgary, and Norquest College. Registration is now open. Visit our conference website: CUSA 2018 Registration. The conference theme this year is Embracing Change. We hope the theme of this year s conference will inspire you in deciding on a 3 photos, 3 minutes topic. We are always interested in submissions for speakers from our CUSA members, so please let us know when registering if you are interested. The traditional CUSA Sweatshirt / Apparel exchange, which has been a highlight of past conferences is back by popular demand. Please bring an article of clothing / apparel from your institution to exchange if you wish to participate. A more detailed program and itinerary will be sent closer to the conference date. The conference will kick off with breakfast and registration on June 13 th, and will finish with the CUSA business meeting and one last lunch together on June 15 th.

3 Conference Information This year s conference will be held at one of the World s unique and one of a kind hotel inside West Edmonton Mall. The Fantasyland Hotel has been listed as one of the top 10 most unique hotels in the world. Fantasyland Hotel features superior and executive suites, as well as fantasy-themed rooms designed to recreate a unique destination or era. It is located in Alberta s #1 tourist attraction West Edmonton Mall. At 5.3 million square feet, the mall is home to more than 800 stores and services including nine world-class attractions, over 100 dining venues and entertainment for all ages. It is the one-stop destination for staying, shopping, eating and entertainment. 4 Payment: Registration and payment can be made online through our 2018 CUSA Conference website CUSA 2018 Registration. Payment can be made one of two ways: Online registration and payment through Eventbrite Registration and payment by cheque payable CUSA 2018 Fantasyland Hotel Accommodations: Room Rates West Edmonton Mall Based on single/double occupancy Avenue Executive 2 Queens / Executive King Edmonton, AB. Rate: $219* T5T 4V4 *Rooms subject to 4% provincial hotel room (780) tax, and 5% GST (Reservations Only) Room Availability Individual reservations can be made by contacting the hotel Reservations Department directly at (780) or toll-free Individuals have the option to upgrade to a Theme or Luxury Theme Room for a small fee on top of the discounted price. Callers MUST mention they are attending the CUSA 2018 to receive the negotiated rate. Hotel reservations and payments are the responsibility of each delegate. Please book early as price and room availability is not guaranteed. Once hotel reaches 80% capacity, rooms will be released to the public.

5 Alternate Accommodation Information: For those looking to save on costs, the West Edmonton Mall Inn is pleased to offer College and University Safety Association (CUSA 2018) an open block. This hotel is located across the street from the mall and is a healthy walk to the conference center. Rooms are available as part of the hotel s general inventory, on a first-come firstserve basis, subject to availability, at a rate of $ per night based on single or double occupancy, plus 4% provincial room tax and 5% GST. Reservations must be made by Sunday, May 13, 2018 to receive the discounted rate. This rate is extended for the event dates of Tuesday, June 12, 2018 Friday, June 15, (Check out Friday, June 15, 2018).
