6 Youth Behaviour Code Parents, please be advised that the AFGA Youth Coordinators are program facilitators responsible for the safety and well being of your youth throughout the scheduled hours of the AFGA Youth Program. During non-scheduled hours, it is the person who you designate as On-Site Guardian who is responsible for your youth s safety and well being. Your youth is ultimately responsible for his/her own behaviour and, as such, is expected to comply with the following AFGA Youth Behaviour Code: 3.1 All youths must be accompanied by an adult who is to act as his/her on-site guardian at the conference This guardian is ultimately legally responsible for the behaviour and well being of this youth during non-scheduled hours throughout the AFGA conference. 3.2 All youths are expected to act in a responsible manner and are expected to take direction from both the Youth Coordinators and their On-Site Guardians. 3.3 Participation in all planned youth sessions is absolutely mandatory. If a youth participant wishes to attend one of the general sessions instead of a youth session, the Youth Coordinators and On-Site Guardian must be advised, and approve. 3.4 Youth curfew is 11:30 pm each night. Participants are expected to be in their rooms at this time. Failure to comply with this rule is a serious infraction of the Youth Behaviour Code, and can result in expulsion from the conference. 3.5 Consumption of alcohol and/or any illegal substances by a youth will result in the immediate removal of said youth from the AFGA conference. As result of illegal possession of alcohol or narcotic, a youth, and his/her on-site guardian, can be held legally responsible as determined by the authorities. 3.6 Youths are to respect their neighbours and keep the noise in their rooms to a minimum after ten o clock. ONE warning will be provided before serious intervention is undertaken, extreme cases resulting in conference expulsion. 3.7 If a youth is removed from the conference because of a serious infraction of the Youth Behaviour Code, it will be the responsibility of the On-Site Guardian to ensure that the youth is sent home and safely arrives at his/her destination. 3.8 No refunds on registration are given to the parents/guardians of a youth that is removed from the conference. By signing below, the AFGA Youth Delegate registered herein, agrees to abide by the rules of the Youth Behaviour Code, and acknowledges that failure to comply may result in removal from the conference.
