2 ABOUT Wood WORK S! Wood WORKS! is a national industry led initiative of the Canadian Wood Council, with a goal to support innovation and provide leadership on the use of wood and wood products. AWARDS The annual Prairie Wood Design Awards honors excellence in wood-based projects and recognizes the people and organizations that are achieving this objective. In 2015 the Awards attracted over 10 sponsors, 200 attendees and 43 nominations. The goal of the Prairie Wood Design Awards is to share and recognize wood design and innovation promote awareness of the advantages of wood in construction and create networking opportunities for the design community, forest industry and government. Projects are entered in four Award Categories: Commercial, Institutional, Interior Design Showcase, Recreational and Residential. Submissions will also be considered for two special awards: Advocate in Wood Design and the Jury s Choice Award.
