We ve devoted plenty of energy and expertise into promoting these fantastic new centres using tried and tested local marketing tactics as well as introducing fresh new ideas geared towards each individual centre to suit the area and demographic.

5 LOCAL RADIO Time after time, local radio proves to be an effective way to engage with local communities and raise our brand awareness. Due to our rapid expansion we re regularly introducing our brand to new areas our goal every time is to become the talk of the town. 7 NATIONAL FOOTBALL & GRASS ROOTS SPONSORSHIP As we look to find ways of targeting local tradesmen for storage and business services, our football connections have proven to be really successful. Our hugely successful and mutually beneficial sponsorship deal at Accrington Stanley FC kicked off in January 2013 and saw Store First branding broadcast worldwide during a cup match televised globally on Sky. Since then, we ve gone on to build fantastic relationships with key commercial contacts at football teams in every new area into which we ve expanded. 10 PR & SOCIAL MEDIA Public relations and social media continue to create a buzz about Store First online and in the press. As well as circulating regular new stories about expansion staff and charity challenges to keep Store First in the news, we search for more unusual ways to get us noticed too. Our adverts wrap around local press for full impact Store First customers play a pivotal role in this. They enable us to introduce a human interest angle into our marketing mix to offset the usual business stories hitting the press. We ve recruited a handful of fascinating and fun customers to inject some individuality into our PR campaign to date, this has included a Scout Leader, a Viking and a star of Channel 4 s Shameless! 11 scan to view Store First Preston opening NEW STORE OPENING To launch the latest Store First centre in Preston, we managed to secure an appearance from US television star Jesse McClure from hit show Storage Hunters, which airs on the Dave channel in the UK. Jesse has a huge following in the UK and is active on social media with tens of thousands of Twitter followers and 4,681 Facebook likes. He used these channels to spread the word about his Store First appearance which saw fans flock to the store to see storage star Jesse cut the ribbon. Marketing tactics to support Jesse s appearance and the centre s launch included newspaper advertising, promotional banners, direct mail handouts to local homes and businesses, press releases and media photocalls, liaison with local newspapers, radio and TV stations, a free ipad competition and invitations to key VIPs in the area.
