4 Guest Services A helping hand Situated in the main corridor, Guest Services is the principal point of contact for all enquiries concerning the administrative and residential aspects of your stay. They can also help you with scanning, photocopying and printing. Reception The reception desk is located in the Main Hall of the Main House and is manned 24 hours a day. Tel: +44(0) reception@ashridge.hult.edu Wi-Fi Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the campus. It is a secure service, and the password will be given to you when you check in. Need assistance? All bedrooms have internal phones. Guest Services can get you an outside line, if required. Please complete the form provided in your bedroom and place it with the items requiring cleaning in the laundry bag provided. Clothes will be returned to your bedroom within 24 hours (Monday Friday only). A charge will be added to your personal account. Forgotten your toothbrush? Toiletries, medicines, international plug adaptors, postage stamps, postcards, and a small selection of gifts can be purchased at Guest Services. Homeward bound Please speak to Guest Services if you need to arrange transport into central London, a taxi to a London airport, or to book a place on our complimentary bus service to and from Berkhamsted train station at scheduled times. 4

7 Accommodation Check in and out We aim to have bedrooms ready for check in by Please vacate your room by on the day of your departure; vacating your room after will mean that you incur a late departure charge. Luggage may be left in the luggage store near Reception. Personal accounts covering transport, laundry charges, telephone calls, bar bills, and other items are prepared at the end of your stay. Accounts can be settled with Guest Services by cheque, cash, or major credit cards. 7

8 Food & drink Dinner is served We pride ourselves on the high quality and wide selection of menus served in our dining rooms. Wherever possible we source local, seasonal, sustainable produce. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let a waiter know. The dining areas and the bar are situated in the Main House. Breakfast Lunch Dinner Time for coffee? Tea and coffee are available throughout the day in the Wyatt Room. Opening hours Cheers We also keep a well-stocked bar and wine cellar. 11 Leisure facilities The Lifestyle Centre The Lifestyle Centre (TLC) has a heated 16m swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, fully equipped gym with cardiovascular and weight machines, and a squash court. It is also possible to borrow mountain bikes from TLC. Monday to Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday The swimming pool closes 30 minutes earlier. Sports wear Appropriate sportswear and footwear must be worn when using the leisure facilities. Towels for use in TLC can be found in your bedroom. Game, set, match Ashridge also has a range of outdoor sports facilities, including three all-weather tennis courts, cricket and football pitches, croquet lawn, pitch-and-putt course, and jogging and cycling trails. The cricket and football pitches, and the pitch-and-putt course, are located in the area beyond the main entrance and over the other side of the road. Croquet can be played on the South Lawn. Please contact Guest Services for details. The tennis courts are situated near the Angus Building and equipment is available to hire from TLC. There are also two 18-hole golf courses nearby. 11

12 Your safety Fire procedure Fire instruction notices are posted in all buildings. Please familiarise yourself with the location of exit routes, fire alarm call points, and assembly points. If you discover a fire, operate the nearest fire alarm immediately and then evacuate the building. If you hear the alarm, evacuate the building using the nearest safe exit route and make your way to the nearest assembly point. The alarm system is tested at every Friday for 15 seconds. No action is required during this period. Smoking & vaping Smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere indoors on the Ashridge campus, including bedrooms. Security We ask that all guests wear their name badges. Our security team may challenge anyone who is not wearing a badge. This is to ensure your safety and security. Our site very safe, however as a precaution we do use CCTV cameras and it is patrolled by our security team. Ashridge is unable to take responsibility for items left unattended. We re committed to doing our bit to improve the local and global environment. We ve been reducing our energy use, recycling more, sourcing food, paper and other things sustainably and our gardens are managed to boost habitats for priority species.
