To provide a platform for the sharing of information, knowledge, and experience across all skydiving and parachuting disciplines and applications (sport, competition, professional, and military). To encourage participation from individuals, teams, clubs, and military and police skydiving units internationally. To hold informative and educational presentations and demonstrations on a range of subjects of interest to skydivers and parachutists. To have suppliers and service providers to the skydiving and parachuting world exhibit, display, and demonstrate products, equipment, new technologies, and ideas. To introduce members of the public to the exciting world of skydiving and parachuting in the 21st Century. To achieve media exposure and raise public awareness for skydiving, parachuting, recreational sports aviation, and to highlight the various career opportunities that surround it. To create value for sponsors and supporters of the event. To grow The Ranch SkyDiving Boogie and Symposium into Africa's Premier Skydiving and Parachuting Gathering. 2 2011 a recap on last years event: The 2011 Ranch SkyDiving Boogie and Symposium received 88 registrations from 21 different Sports Skydiving Operations and Military Parachuting Units from across Southern Africa. 2 Atlas Angels flew 90 loads to ft. 78 members of the public were taken on a tandem introductory skydive, and Miss Limpopo was trained to skydive solo. The SANDF saw the event as an ideal opportunity to enhance cooperation whilst learning and sharing ideas by participating at events outside of the military and, promoting military interest in sport skydiving, held a mini accuracy meet with military and civilian entrants as part of the event. On top of that we all had an awesome friendly, relaxed, jump in the pool, walk with the lions, sing around the camp fire, no politics social skydiving gathering at the luxurious Ranch Resort. The 2011 event also enjoyed massive media exposure and was featured on local and national television (SABC 1, 2 and 3, News, Sport, Morning Live and Weekend Live), on local and national radio (Capricorn FM and Jacaranda FM), and in both online media (MyPolokwane, This Tourism Week), in newspapers (Polokwane Observer, Capricorn Voice, Northern Review, Daily Star, Platinum Weekly), and in magazines (African Pilot). 3 2012 what you can expect this year: 4 days of friendly, relaxed, efficient skydiving with an informative and educational symposium element, at the luxurious Ranch Resort. 2 x Atlas Angels (a third Atlas Angel will be provided once we exceed 100 registrations) ft AGL Informative and educational presentations and demonstrations. Exhibits and displays. The SSA committees have been officially invited to participate in the event, and are encouraged to provide coaching and load organising for each skydiving discipline. SANDF, SAAF and SAPS Skydiving and Parachuting units have been officially invited to participate in, and display at the event. Discounts will be extended to individuals and teams for bulk jump ticket purchases. The Ranch SkyDiving Boogie and Symposium will be also one of the drop zones for the African Conservation Trust's national Skydive for Rhinos Campaign, which aims to complete 448 tandem skydives (one for each Rhino poached in South Africa last year) across 5 drop zones between July and September of this year. NOTE - Peter Lawson informs that the Margate Boogie won't be happening this year Requirements: PASA Membership. B-Licence minimum, A Licence holders with CI recommendation. Registration. Own equipment. No log book no jump. Registration: PASA Members R 400 PASA Member with Military or Police Nr. R 200 Day Registration (for those only coming for one day) R 200 Slot Rate (12 000ft AGL) TBC on 5th July Camping (with own equipment) and use of facilities is included in the registration fee. Discounts will be extended to individuals and teams for bulk ticket purchases. On site discounts for activities such as Walking with Lions and Golf will be announced at the event. REGISTRATION FORMS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE FROM THE 5TH JULY 2012.

4 Landing Areas: Seniors Grass area at the South West end of the runway. Juniors meter diameter former irrigation grass circle within The Ranch Conservancy between the runway and tented camp. Elevation 4 400ft. Packing Areas: Shaded grass areas in the gardens around the main swimming pool area. Notice Board: Please look at it daily for updates and information. Tandem Masters / Camera Flyers: There will be a core working team, supplemented by approved individuals. All professional skydivers at the event to be pre-approved by Chief Instructor Graham Field. All professional skydivers will be expected to perform at least one PR jump (slots and equipment covered) in the name of promoting skydiving and parachuting. Skydivers that wish to apply to be part of the working team should please provide the following information: Name PASA Nr. Ratings Held Equipment Available Services Offered Medical: A medic tent with 2 x ILS paramedic ground staff will be on standby at the event. At least one EMS vehicle will be onsite. Advanced medical facilities are available in Polokwane. All participants are advised to have their own medical insurance. Payment: Jump tickets need to be paid for in advance, and will be issued at the event. Payments can be made: In advance by internet transfer. At the event by internet transfer. At the event in cash - nearest cash machine is at The Ranch Petrol Station on the N1. Credit and Debit Card Facilities at The Ranch Resort are available (charges between 5% and 7% will apply).

5 Accommodation: Kolbe Tented Camp R 125 (with own bedding) or R 175 (with bedding provided) - per person per night. A combination 4-sleeper and 6-sleeper tents. Max 76 Persons. Self catering facilities provided. 5-Star 6 Sleeper Self Catering Golf Chalets R per chalet per night. Overlooking the Golf Course. Max 6 persons (2 on sleeper couch in lounge). Protea Hotel Ranch Resort - R 760 per room per night (single or sharing). 7 Suites and 103 Deluxe 4-Star Hotel Rooms. Camping (with own equipment) - Included in registration fee. In the designated area alongside the permanent Tented Camp. Bookings and payments for accommodation need to be made confirmed and paid direct with Protea Hotel Ranch Resort. Catering: Full breakfast buffet available for event registrants at discounted rate of R 125 per person. Lunch and dinner will be provided to event registrants at a discounted rate on a pre-paid ticket system, arranged on a daily basis. Self-catering is permitted in the Golf Chalets and at Kolbe Tented Camp only. Food and refreshments is available through Protea Hotel Ranch Resort at normal prices for visitors and guests. Facilities: Facilities include: a 12 hole par 3 Executive Golf Course; 4 swimming pools (2 heated); gymnasium and wellness centre with steam rooms. For the kids there is a play room with computer games, pinball machines, pool table, table tennis, bowls, a tennis court, a playground, a trampoline and a jungle gym activities include horseback safaris, lion walks, lion tours, game drives and more. Use of facilities is included in event registration, activities need to be arranged through The Ranch Resort and will be provided at a discounted rate for event registrants. Wireless Internet is available at The Ranch Resort in most areas.

6 Symposium and Exhibit Display Areas: Educational, inspirational, interesting and relevant presentations will occur at appropriate times for boogie registrants that wish to attend. Appropriate venues and exhibit display areas will be provided for approved displays / exhibits. If you wish to propose a talk, demonstration or presentation, or have a product, business you would like to display, please let the organizers know well in advance to check that it can be included, and that we can plan effectively. The opportunity to have a display area and to provide a display has been offered to SANDF, SAAF and SAPS Skydiving Units at no charge. Commercial operators may be charged a nominal fee to exhibit / display depending on level of support / sponsorship. Certain areas and presentations will be open to the public. To Wrap Up: Whilst the weather will be super awesome during the day it will be cold around the fires in the evening, so bring some warm clothing. There are 4 swimming pools, 2 of them heated, so bring your swimming kit as well. You can expect to be woken by lions in the morning and will hear the beautiful sound of 2 Turbine Atlas Angels all day. Come ready to do lots of skydiving, but also bring your golf clubs if you have a set!
