13 Anglia Route WON /2016 Page B-1 Normally, signals are used to mark possession protection limits. Where points have to be used, this will be signified by the suffix "pts". Detonator protection for possessions arranged under Rule Book Module T3 must normally be placed at 400 metres beyond the protecting signal (or points or through crossings beyond the protecting signal) at the start of the possession and 400 metres on the approach to the signal (or points or through crossings) at the exit from the possession. Where this distance cannot be obtained, the detonator protection must be placed at the greatest distance possible from the signal (or points or through crossings) concerned. Where detonator protection has to be placed at less than the required 400 metres beyond the possession protecting signal (or points or through crossings) at the start of the possession or protection has to be placed at less than the required 400 metres on the approach to the signal (or points or through crossings) beyond the possession, then this will be indicated by a # symbol following the signal or points number quoted in the.
