Friday, July 20: Mountain Dew Day - Present a specially marked Mountain Dew can or promotional coupon to receive $2 off one adult gate admission. Limit one Mountain Dew discount per person. Monday, July 23: Food Lion Hunger Relief Day - Fairgoers can bring 5 items of Food Lion brand non-perishable food in exchange for one free admission ticket. Seniors Day - FREE gate admission for seniors 60 years and older. Tuesday, July 24: Kids Day presented by Delmarva Power and Light Company. Free Admission to youth ages 12 and under. Wednesday, July 25: Armed Forces Day presented by Pratt Insurance - Free adult gate admission to those with a valid Military ID. Note: The Delaware State Fair, Inc. and its officers and agents shall not be held responsible for any damages due to accidents, theft, etc. Handicapped parking and designated handicapped drop off area can be found behind the Administration building in the fenced in blacktop lot. Please use the main fair entrance off of South DuPont Hwy to access the Handicap Parking Area. Must present proper Parking Credentials to parking staff prior to parking in lot. Guests parking in the main general parking areas have the option to ride a handicap accessible shuttle but must board at a designated shuttle stop located in the Orange/Purple Parking Lot. Shuttle Services are available. Shuttles carry passengers from the parking lot area to either the front gate or to Gate 7; limited on grounds services are also available. The Lost Children Station offers a place at the Main Gate where, under the direction of security, guardians can be reunited with their children. The Baby Changing Area presented by Procter & Gamble is located near the Main Gate. Baby changing stations are also found in most restrooms. First Aid and Breast Feeding Area is located at the base of the M&T Bank Grandstand. Hours of operation are 10am-10pm. Delaware FFA Ag-Ventures & Barn Tours Prehistoric Dinosaur Adventures - Mann Tharp Pavilion - Machinery Lot Come meet The King of the Dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus Rex! Families are amazed and thrilled as they interact with dino handler Dr. Jack Cage as he travels the grounds in our Jurassic Park style truck transporting Buster the T-Rex from area to area! DDA Commodities Building Visit the Delaware Department of Agriculture s Commodities Building and see the products and programs Delaware Agriculture has to offer! Presented by Exhibits Delaware Building Exhibits in the Delaware Building are open for the public to view. A great place for the family to come check out all that the first state has to offer, including the U-Dairy Creamery, presented by the University of Delaware. Fairgoers have the opportunity to purchase this ice cream that supports the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. 4H/FFA Building & Dover Building Exhibits are open for the public to view. Departments including Arts & Crafts, Culinary, Farm, Fruit & Apiary, Flowers, Garden Vegetables & Needlework. Check out nightly cooking demos from the Food Bank of Delaware in the Dover Building. DNREC Building Adults and kids of all ages are invited to visit the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control at the Delaware State Fair. They can discover the science behind the work DNREC does to protect the environment and Delaware s natural resources. The World of FFA Agricultural Education offers interactive barnyard exhibits and demonstrations. FFA Ambassadors will be offering 20 minute guided tours that allow you to get an up close glimpse of farm animals and a behind the scenes look of livestock activities at the fair. Antique Machinery Showcase July 21 - Quillen Arena Travel back in time as we re-visit the history of agriculture in Delaware. This event will feature antiques dating back to the early 1900s (some before). With antique tractors, broom makers, craftsmen and more, the Antique Machinery Showcase will give Fairgoers a glimpse into the past and celebrate the growth of agriculture and the Fair.
