2 General Info Hours of Operation July 23: Gates Open at 12pm, rides open at 5pm July 24 - Aug 1: Gates open at 8am-11pm; rides open at 1pm; exhibits open daily from 11am-11pm Grandstand, Gate Admission & Ride Ticket Information To purchase tickets to any M&T Bank Grandstand event, for midway carnival rides, or for gate admission, visit us online at DelawareStateFair.com or call (302) Adults 13 and older: $8; online $8.50 Youth 6-12 years of age: $3; online $3.50 Children 5 and under receive FREE gate admission 3-Day Adult Gate Pass: $15.50; only available for online purchase. Purchasing one pass gives you access to the Delaware State Fair on 3 different days, good for one scanning each day. Services Offered Parking is available at no charge. Note: The Delaware State Fair, Inc. and its officers and agents shall not be held responsible for any damages due to accidents, theft, etc. Shuttle Services are available, including handicapped accessibility. Shuttles carry passengers from the parking lot area to the front gate; limited on-grounds services also available. The Lost Children Station presented by Atlantic Aluminum offers a place at Gate 1 where, under the direction of security, guardians can be reunited with their children. The Baby Changing Area presented by Procter & Gamble is located near the Main Gate. Baby changing stations are also found in most restrooms. Food Lion Hunger Relief Day - July 27 Help end hunger in our local community. The Delaware State Fair and Food Lion are proud to present Food Lion Hunger Relief Day. After last year s success in donating over 20,000 pounds of food, Food Lion is excited to offer this opportunity again. Fairgoers receive one free gate admission when they exchange 5 Food Lion brand non-perishable food items on Monday, July 27. Come out and help make a difference for our local Food Bank of Delaware! Parade Daily Grab your spot along the parade route to enjoy the Delaware State Fair nightly parade. The parade also features floats, antique tractors and the Citizens Hose Marching Band. 7 Livestock Extravaganza July 28 - Kent Barn Watch some of Delaware s youth as they exhibit the combination of hard work and determination that it takes to raise the best animals in Delaware. Grand and Reserve Champion market hogs, sheep, goats and steer will be selected, as well as the Overall Grand Champion Showman. Presented by Delaware Departement of Agriculture. Junior Livestock Auction July 30 - Kent Barn Livestock Public sale of the Grand and Reserve Champion and other top placing livestock. The Junior Livestock Auction completes an agribusiness education for the owners who selected, purchased and raised some of Delaware s finest livestock. Presented by MidAtlantic Farm Credit. FFA Ag Education Center July 23-July 27, 9am-9pm The FFA Ag Education center will be the home of the John Curtis Memorial Barnyard Petting Zoo as well as demonstrations and educational material during the first 5 days of the fair. This new feature may be found next to the Quillen Arena. Birthing Center July 29-Aug 1 - Near Quillen Arena Experience the miracle of birth! Visit the Birthing Center Tent to witness the birth of a calf, and stay to see it take it s first steps. This exhibit is sure to entertain as well as educate exhibitors on the miracle of life through livestock. Antique Machinery Showcase July 24 - Quillen Arena Travel back in time as we celebrate the 96 th Annual Delaware State Fair. This event will feature antiques dating back to the early 1900s (some before). With antique tractors, broom makers, craftsmen and more, the Antique Machinery Showcase will give Fairgoers a glimpse into the past and celebrate the growth of agriculture and the Fair. 7
