2 Phone: (843) Fax: (843) On behalf of Colleton County and the Colleton County Parks and Recreation we would like to congratulate each team on advancing to the 2013 Machine Pitch Regional Tournament in Colleton County, SC. We welcome you to Colleton County and to the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Colleton County Parks and Recreation staff have been working tirelessly to ensure that players, coaches and fans have a wonderful experience while at the Regional Tournament. We invite you to patronize the local shops and businesses as they have been an important part of making this Regional Tournament a possibility for Colleton County. Please be advised that a mandatory Credentials Meeting will be conducted on Friday, July 26th at the Colleton Career Skills Center, which is located right down the street from the ACE Basin Sports Complex, beginning at 4:30pm. Please remember that this meeting is mandatory and must be attended by a coach from each team. All tournament guidelines, rules, brackets, and special events will be covered during this meeting. It is a time for any questions or concerns to be addressed. Please remember to bring with you to the meeting your tournament affidavit, birth certificates, medical release form and proof of insurance. These items will be checked at the meeting. Opening Ceremonies will be held on July 26th beginning at 6:00pm at The ACE Basin Sports Complex and all players and coaches are required to attend. Please have your team wear their uniform to this event. After the meal all players and coaches will be introduced during the parade of teams which will be followed by a Homerun Derby. 4 Colleton County, SC Itinerary Friday July 26 th 4:30pm Credentials Meeting at the Colleton Career Skills Center. All teams must be represented. 6:00pm Cookout at the ACE Basin Sports Complex -All players, coaches and DYB officials will be served hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, drinks and Krispey Kreme doughnuts -Parents and anyone else in attendance may purchase plates for $5 each 7:00pm Opening ceremony and Intro of teams. Immediately following the parade Homerun Derby -Each team may select 2 players to participate -Each player gets 10 swings -Top two players with the most homeruns will bat again to determine the champion. Home plate will be moved up roughly 40 in order to make the fence approximately 160. Playing fence will be 200 for games. -Winning player will receive a new DYB approved baseball bat donated by Jus Sports ****There will be Jump Castles available on Friday evening, Saturday and most of the day on Sunday. These will be free for players and coaches and $5 wrist bands (allows unlimited use for that day) can be purchased for others that want use of the jump castles.

5 Itinerary Cont d. Saturday July 27 7:00am Gates will open to allow access to batting cages and practice fields. 7:30am Gates to the game fields will open. NO ONE IS TO ENTER THE GAME COMPLEX BEFORE 7:30am. Any persons doing so will be asked to leave and will have to re-enter. 9:00am Pool Play games begin. Sunday July 28 8:30am There will be a minute service at the ball park. A list of local churches and addresses will be given out at the credentials meeting for those wishing to attend a traditional service. 10:00am Second round games begin. ****All games will be streaming live to the internet via ace.colletoncounty.org An image of the field map will come up and camera locations are indicated. ****We update our Facebook page on a daily basis (Colleton County Parks and Recreation). This is where we put updates regarding weather and other announcements first before we would contact coaches.

6 Tournament Information Admission Prices Saturday Adults - $10 all-day pass ( if someone does not attend the morning games, an evening game ticket will be $5 at the gate) Kids $8 all-day pass Sunday Adults - $8 all-day pass (if someone does not attend the morning games, an evening game ticket will be $5 at the gate) Kids $6 all-day pass Monday Adults - $5 all-day pass Kids $3 all-day pass Tuesday Adults - $5 championship game Kids $3 *****Kids age 7-12 will be $4 EACH game time or $15 for a tournament pass. *****Tournament passes can be purchased on SATURDAY ONLY for $20. Facility Rules We will have coolers with fresh water and cups in each dugout for each game. No outside coolers, drinks or food will be permitted in the facility at anytime for any reason. However, each team shall be permitted to bring one cooler with water and or rags to the dugout. This cooler must be brought in by a team member or coach only (NO SPECTATOR WILL BE ALLOWED TO BRING IN A COOLER). No drinks or food shall be passed from the cooler to any spectator; this will result in the cooler being removed from the facility. The ACE Basin Sports Complex is a tobacco and alcohol free facility. Failure to comply with facility rules will result in any person being removed from the premises. No pets are allowed inside the game complex.
