The museum boasts numerous games and experiments which will make the visit interactive as well as instructive. 2 Shijingshan Amusement Park 石景山游乐园 Shijingshan Amusement Park is one of the largest theme parks in Asia. With its replica of Sleeping Beauty s Castel, the park definitely has Disney features. Upon entering, visitors will be welcomed by famous characters like Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse or Snow White. 3 World Park Beijing 北京世界公园 Beijing world Park is a miniature of the world. Indeed, it is divided into five parts which represent the five continents. Visitors will be able to see 109 world-famous attractions from 40 countries like the Egyptian Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower or the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Lawns exhibit well-known sculptures, among them the Statue of Liberty, the Little Mermaid from Copenhagen and Michelangelo's David. The Beijing World Park has several entertaining facilities such as a laser fountain and a botanic labyrinth in which adults and children will enjoy themselves. Standing in the tunnels, visitors will be able to see the various species of marine creatures ranging from big sharks to jelly fish. Other entertaining facilities include a cinema, an ocean canteen, a multi-media classroom, and an underwater bar. 4 Blue Zoo Beijing 富国海底世界海洋馆 Blue Zoo Beijing is located entirely underground beneath the lake of Beijing Worker s Stadium. It is the largest aquarium of its kind in Asia. Visitors will have the opportunity to see over sea creatures from all over the world including sharks, rays, eels, coral reef fish, lobsters, sea horses, starfish and many others. The main attractions of the aquarium are the central tank holding 3.5 million liters of artificially produced salt water and the daily excitement of watching specialists feed the fish. Happy Magic Watercube comes with a wave pool, a lazy river and 13 water slides like Speed Slide and Tornado. 5 Happy Magic Water Cube 北京欢乐水魔方 The Happy Magic Watercube, located on the west side of the city, is the largest outdoor water park in Beijing. It is house to more than 50 waterslides, 18 attractions like the tornado and has enough space for swimmers. With its mazes, swings, slides, ropes and ball pits, it is one of kid s favourite places to burn lots of energy. Staff is well-trained and will watch over kids as they play. There is also a special section for toddlers with appropriate equipment. 6 BeYou World 比如世界 Beyou Wolrd is a three storey shopping center. Inside is a simulated city with blue sky, streets, houses, banks, a hospital, a school and so on. Children can get a taste of the world of work by experiencing nearly fifty different careers, from fire-fighters to doctors, from cameramen to pilots. This is not just an imaginary world, it s a real social environment that combines dining, drinking entertainment, purchase and educational facilities. The main attraction is deer (milu) that became extinct in China toward the end of the 19 th century. Luckily, in the 1980s, their descendants were reintroduced into the park. 7 Chaoyang Park 朝阳公园 Conceived of as Beijing s version of Central Park in New York, this immense park boasts lakes, gardens, running trails, a large amusement park, outdoor swimming pools and sport facilities. Chaoyang Park is also the venue of many celebrations and shows: pop music festivals, children s painting competition and cultural events. Le Cool Ice Skating Rink hosts each year the Beijing Figure Skating Competition as well as the Asian Figure Skating Competition. Be prepared to sneak up the hills and rush in the bushes on a battlefield-like area while trying to eliminate your opponents by tagging them with a paintmaker. No worries though, the paint is water soluble, masks and vests are provided to protect players from being hurt.
