Knights of Columbus News: Special Olympics of Utah Knights of Columbus Invitational Bowling Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 2 nd at the Rush Funplex in Syracuse.

Next weekend the Knights of Columbus will be selling tickets for our Lenten Fish Fry for Friday, March 15 th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Social Center.

This meeting will provide important information about the upcoming First Holy Communion Masses. IMPORTANT NOTICE! There is a mandatory meeting of ALL PARENTS of Confirmation students on Sunday, February 24 th, The meeting will be held in English at 9:15am and in Spanish at 11:00am in the Rotunda. If you have a child in Confirmation, please plan to attend this meeting. Thank you! Parish Lenten Retreat we will be held on Saturday, March 16 th, 2019 from 9:00am to Noon in the Social Center. The theme will be Come Sit With Me a While. All are welcome. We ask that you register in advance by calling the parish office at or kevin.cummings@stroseut.org. 5 Ash Wednesday Schedule is the following: 9:00am Mass (English) with Distribution of the Ashes 12:00 Noon Service for the Blessing and Distribution of Ashes 5:00pm Mass (English) with Distribution of the Ashes 7:30pm Mass (Spanish) with Distribution of the Ashes There will be no Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Ash Wednesday. At the Ash Wednesday Masses, we will take up the annual collection to help the Church in Eastern Europe. Please be generous. Lenten Communal Penance Service will be celebrated on Monday, March 6 th at 7:00pm. There will be a number of confessors to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The celebration of the Scrutinies will be celebrated on the third, fourth and fifth Sunday of Lent during the 10:30am Mass. Operation Rice Bowl is a program for giving sacrificial offerings for the needy from our food savings and fasting during Lent. Please take a Rice Bowl to your home and bring your offering to the parish as often as you wish. Join us in praying the Rosary at 6:00pm in the church followed by the Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 7:00pm in English and Spanish during the Lenten Season. RCIA For the past months our Catechumens have been dismissed to reflect more deeply on God s Word. Next Sunday March 3 rd at the 10:300am Mass we will celebrate the Rite of Sending as Catechumens prepare to take the next step on their journey of faith. It is an opportunity for the parish to recognize the progress they have made and for them to receive the blessings of the parish. Godparents and sponsors testify as to the readiness of the Catechumens. Then in the name of the parish, Father Clarence recommends them to the Bishop. On Saturday March 9 th at 1:30pm the Catechumens and their sponsors will travel to the Cathedral of the Madeleine to celebrate the Rite of Election. All parishioners are welcome to join in the celebration of the Rite of Sending and to continue to pray for them. Thank you for your gifts to the Diocesan Development Drive. Our 2019 parish goal is $96,000. Your donations will help our parish as well as diocesan ministries and programs. If you have not yet made your commitment, please be as generous as you are able. Es una oportunidad para que la parroquia "reconozca" el progreso que han hecho y para que reciban las bendiciones de la parroquia. Los padrinos y los patrocinadores testifican sobre la disposición de los catecúmenos. Luego, en nombre de la parroquia, el padre Clarence los recomienda al Obispo. El sábado el día 9 de Marzo a la 1:00pm los catecúmenos y sus patrocinadores viajarán a la Catedral de la Magdalena para celebrar el Rito de Elección.
