Operatios ad oise leel data for 2010 are suffiietly like those of 2009 that the iformatio deeloped for the year 2009 is also represetatie of the oise leels preset durig The iformatio proided i this hapter represets the potetial oise leels i 2015 if o further oise abatemet atios are implemeted to hage the oise exposure patter. Appedix, oise odelig ethodology, presets the iformatio used to model the oise exposure patters, iludig the details o operatig harateristis, umber of operatios, ad arrial ad departure flight paths at ambert Airport. 3.2 AICAFT OI XPOU Airraft oise impats were assessed usig oise exposure otours produed by the Federal Aiatio Admiistratio (FAA) Itegrated oise odel (I). The I was deeloped for ealuatig airraft oise impats i the iiity of airports ad has bee the FAA's stadard tool sie 1978 for determiig the predited oise impat i the iiity of airports. The distributio of the oise patter o eah map alulated by the I is a futio of the umber of airraft operatios, the types of airraft flow, the time of day of the operatio, how frequetly eah ruway is used for arrials ad departures, ad the routes of flight used to ad from the ruway. ubstatial ariatios i ay oe of these fators may, whe exteded oer a log period of time, ause marked hages to the aual oise patter. The oise aalysis oduted for this 2010 Part 150 tudy Update was deeloped usig I 7.0b. The basi aousti iformatio preset i the I was ot altered or modified for these aalyses. o airraft substitutios were required to represet the urret or atiipated operatig fleet at ambert Airport. The oise exposure patter at ambert Airport is preseted i terms of the aerage ay-ight oud eel (). The measure is the aual oe-seod aerage of the total airraft oise eergy that ours at a loatio. With, the loudess of ighttime (10:00 p.m. to 6:59 a.m.) oise eets are ireased by te deibels (db) to reflet the greater sesitiity to oise at ight. The shape of the oise otours is primarily a futio of the ombiatio of flight traks, time of operatios, ad ruway use at ambert Airport. The shape of the oise otours to the east ad west of the Airport reflets the predomiat east/west use of uways ad ad the appreiable east/west traffi o uway Cotour size is approximately equal to the east ad west of the Airport refletig approximately equal usage of east ad west traffi flow patters. As disussed there, the FAA has deeloped lad use ompatibility guidelies relatig types of lad use to airport soud leels. These guidelies are defied i 14 CF Part 150, ad Use Compatibility with Yearly ay-ight Aerage oud eels. (The ompatibility table is proided i this doumet i Appedix B FAA Poliies, Guidae, ad egulatios, as Table B-2.) These guidelies show the ompatibility parameters for residetial, publi failities (shools, hurhes, ursig homes, hospitals, ad libraries), ommerial, maufaturig ad produtio, ad rereatioal lad uses. I geeral, the guidelies idiate that oise-sesitie lad uses (residetial ad oisesesitie publi failities) are osidered iompatible with airport operatios withi the 65 oise exposure otour, uless treated with some type of mitigatio. All lad uses exposed to oise leels below 65 are geerally osidered by the FAA to be ompatible with airport operatios. Table 3-3 summarizes the estimated populatio, housig uits, ad umber of oise-sesitie publi failities withi the 65 oise exposure otour for xistig (2010) Baselie oditios. There are 83 housig uits ad a estimated populatio of 228 people loated withi the 65 of the xistig (2010) Baselie oise exposure otour. These housig uits are loated withi the ities of Cool Valley, Ferguso, ad Kiloh. Of those housig uits, 12 hae reeied, or are i the proess of reeiig soud isulatio. Aother three uits met soud atteuatio requiremets ad the owers grated aigatio easemets. Table 3-4 proides a summary of the urret ad foreasted future airraft operatioal leels at ambert Airport that were used for oise modelig. Future operatios (2015) reflet a growth i air arrier ad ommuter arrier operatios to aommodate the atiipated growth i passeger demad. Cargo ad geeral aiatio (GA) operatios are expeted to grow more slowly oer the foreast year period. This is due to differee i the shape of these two oise exposure otours, most otably the Future (2015) Baselie oise exposure otour that eompasses a residetial area i Cool Valley alog the approah to uway 30. There are 107 housig uits with a estimated populatio of 291 loated withi the 65 of the Future (2015) Baselie oise exposure otour. These housig uits are loated withi the ities of Cool Valley ad Kiloh. Of the 107 housig uits 17 hae reeied, or are i the proess of reeiig, soud isulatio. Three uits hae met iterior soud atteuatio requiremets ad the owers were grated partiipatio i the imited asemet Program.
