MINISTER S ORDER/ARRÊTÉ MINISTÉRIEL The Northern Municipalities Act, 2010 [clauses (2)(1)(n) and 8(1)(i)] a Bylaw to Establish Fees for Services for the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District 1 The Northern Municipalities Act, 2010 (the Act) empowers the Minister of Municipal Affairs to act as the Mayor and Council of the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, and, in so doing, may enact bylaws on behalf of the District in the form of Minister s Orders. 2 Clause 2(1)(n) of the Act provides that district means the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District not including any area within the boundaries of a town, northern village or northern hamlet. 3 Clause 8(1)(i) of the Act states that a council may, by bylaw, establish fees for provided by or on behalf of the municipality. 4 It is desirable for public awareness and good government in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District that the Minister enacts a bylaw establishing fees for. 5 I, Darryl Hickie, Minister of Municipal Affairs, acting as the Mayor and Council for and on behalf of the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District pursuant to the authority vested in me by The Northern Municipalities Act, 2010 do hereby order that Bylaw No. NSAD 2/2012, attached hereto as Schedule 1, shall be read, applied and enforced as a bylaw of the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District effective as and from the date of this Order. NSad 2/2012 The Minister of Municipal Affairs, on behalf of the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, under the provision of section 8 of The Northern Municipalities Act, 2010, enacts as follows: Short title 1 Bylaw No. NSAD 2/2012 is cited as Northern Saskatchewan Administration District Fee and Services Bylaw. Purpose 2 The purpose of this bylaw is to provide for the establishing of fees for provided in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District. Fees for service 3 The Northern Saskatchewan Administration District fees for provided are: (a) Assessment Appeal Fee: $50.00; (b) Tax Certificate and/or Tax Search: $10.00 each; (c) Land Transfer Fee: $50.00; (d) Removal of Tax Lien: $25.00; (e) copies of Assessment Field Sheets and Bylaws will be at $1.00 per page for properties within the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District including Northern Settlements and Resort Subdivisions; (f) fees for not specifically mentioned in this bylaw shall be on a cost recovery basis including any charges, fees or under The Tax Enforcement Act and regulations, but does not include any charges, fees, that are provided under any bylaws of the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District; provincial legislation and/or regulations. Coming into force 4 This bylaw applies to the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District and will come into force on the date of signing.
