Hope you signed up for the free dinner the deadline is March 6 th, Joe & I hope to see all of you there. We really do appreciate you and that is what March 8th is all about so make sure you come and join in the fun. Our dorms are up and running again, we have increased from 16 units to 28, all brand new. Always a room available for you guys, if you are in the doghouse. HA! If you like your current site be sure to come by the office and reserve it if you want to insure getting your favorite site for next season. Also, in the future if you don t have a mailbox rented here, you will need to get one down at the post office or have your mail sent general delivery to the post office. We are sorry but we can no longer process all the mail that has been coming in. It has been overwhelming. Bonnie and Marlene are sometimes half a day sorting mail so please remember this for your return visit. We still have some mailboxes available here if you are interested. Mystery of the Month: Who is our great rock artist? Everywhere I go I see rocks with beautiful paintings on them, they seem to just appear. Whoever you are, Thank you! It always makes my day. I hope the rest of you guys are enjoying them too. Joe & I will see you at the dinner. If you can t make it have a safe & healthy summer. We look forward to your return next season. 2 2 DESERT RIDES Lead by L.B. Dunn On our weekly ride on Jan. 23 rd, 18 people on 10 machines trailered 40 miles to KOFA for a long desert ride. We road a little over 80 miles with a hot dog roast at lunch time. The weather was, as usual, perfect. We stopped at Clanton s Well then headed west toward a large open pit gold mine. When we got to the mine an armed guard informed us we were not welcome to visit. He told us a Canadian company is expanding the mine at least 10-fold and have just finished building their own mill. The ride finished with a dusty road trip back to the trucks. We had some first timers along with some experienced riders. We kept the speed slow to reasonable and everyone is looking forward to the next ride. Thanks to L.B. for the information about this ride and thanks to all who took the pictures. This group of riders went into the hills on Friday, Jan. 31 st in search of marble. They stopped along the way to snack on sandwiches. Thanks to Harlan for sharing these pictures.

When we got here we had many things planned but I did not plan on the adventures that we've been on already. The people here have been so warm and welcoming.

Dean came with his quad and winch and had to pull LB out while laughing the whole time he was doing it. Sorry LB, I don't think you're going to live this one down!

Well Braxton took him up on his offer immediately and rode with him the rest of the trip!

3 3 Trip to the Bradshaw Mountains Photos by Phil Socwell. A Heart-Warming Story-- My son Braxton and I came to Saddle Mountain RV Park to visit our adopted grandparents Maureen and Gord. When we got here we had many things planned but I did not plan on the adventures that we've been on already. The people here have been so warm and welcoming. Our first day at the park LB took Braxton and I out on his Can-am to show us the wonders of the desert. Supposed to be a quick little ride as Braxton LOVES quadding and has his own little 50cc at home. Well... LB found the only mud in the desert, managed to get us stuck with mud up to the running boards and had to call for backup. Dean came with his quad and winch and had to pull LB out while laughing the whole time he was doing it. Sorry LB, I don't think you're going to live this one down! Day 2 we were invited to join on the ATV ride out in the desert. Riding with Margie in her RZR, until Charlie asked Braxton if he wanted to ride with him. Well Braxton took him up on his offer immediately and rode with him the rest of the trip! Stopping to collect rocks with Charlie, Dean reaches into his pocket, pulls out some pennies and starts tossing them to the ground. Braxton thinks he's finding real treasure, says "I'm gonna keep these!" puts them into his pocket and gives Charlie his rocks. I appreciate the family atmosphere here at the park, and for a little 4 year old boy, he feels like he has more adopted grandparents. Thank you for helping to make our holiday so much brighter. I have a feeling, once my husband and I become "Snowbirds", we will be hauling our 4 wheelers to Arizona for some fun in the sun. Jody Busk Hardisty, Alberta

4 4 The Hahner Family Performance and Potluck Dinner This was an amazing performance by an AMAZING family. If you ever get the opportunity to see them you will thoroughly enjoy it. Thank you, to all that brought the delicious food dishes for this event. L.B. arranged an Off Road Trip for the family. What an AWESOME ride!

Please put your book donations/returns on the table as our volunteer Bonnie will sort and place them in the appropriate bookcase. Puzzles Galore! For the Puzzles enthusiasts out there, in our games room in the, you will find a bookcase full of puzzles waiting to be completed. Karen Mietus has spent many hours on these beautiful masterpieces as well as many more. The ladies were very busy with a variety of crafts this month. Swedish Weaving has made a comeback. Thanks to Andrea for helping these ladies get started. While these ladies worked away there were 2 other groups, one doing bracelets and the other made some beautiful watches. Need to connect to the World Wide Web! There is a free hotspot connection throughout the Activity center and clubhouse.
