5 HMB COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE~ A collection tub for food and personal care items will be in the lobby at the 1st HMB Social every month. Donations benefit the Kings Food Pan-try. THANK YOU for your generosity. EXCURSION COMMITTEE~ If you plan on riding with someone, please contact any of the drivers and plan how you will meet them. For those who offer to drive, I can't thank you enough for doing so. If you are new and need help being matched with a driver, please let me know. Compensation for drivers usually is $5. If you have to pay to park, riders help pay for it. Our goal is to have everything worked out prior to the excursion so that you can relax and enjoy. SIGN UP DEADLINE~ Due to set-up, catering, food and decoration ordering, volunteers and staffing needed we kindly ask that from now on everyone please sign up by the deadline for the Social Committee Volunteers and my sanity. We want to accommodate everyone, but have limitations if people don t sign up by the deadline. I d hate for people to miss out on all of the fun. Thank you for understanding. New Residents have shown some confusion on Friday evening events. Below are short explanations to help clarify: HMB SOCIAL (previously called Happy Hour and 1st Friday)~ The Social Committee at HMB plans activities the 1st and 3rd Friday (occasionally on Saturdays) of each month. Some events are potluck, where residents bring a dish for people to share and some are catered. There is always a charge of $4.00 or more for each event to cover disposable items, soda, coffee, theme decorations, staff support, catered meals, entertainment and occasional prizes. CASUAL FRIDAY~ This occurs when a group of residents gather together informally in the Game Room (Winter) or Poolside (Summer). There is no charge because they bring a dish to share, their own disposable such as utensils, tablecloths, napkins, drinks and do their own clean up. This is not a staff supported event.
