May Napkin folding: Wednesday May 7, May 21, 9am, Day Room. Thank you to all the members who helped with Napkin Folding throughout the year. Napkin folding is part of the Forever Young Club s agreement with the center allowing us to use their rooms for our events. Hot lunch, $3.00, order will now be taken from 9:50-10:00am May 5; Crispy Chicken Dog, Mac N Cheese, Baked Beans May 12; Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla, Mango Salsa May 19; Italian Pasta Bake, Garlic Toast, Broccoli Reminder Please do not leave any registration forms in the Day Room if Oak Creek Recreation Staff is not in. All forms must be put in the gray drop box or taken to Recreation Office at City Hall. The Day Room may be used by other clients and neither the Recreation Department nor The Community Center is responsible for lost or stolen forms and/or payments. Please pay by check or credit card, not responsible for cash. New Hours for the Recreation office are 7:30am 4:00pm Donations - Have any new or very gently used items you no longer have a use for, consider donating it to the Forever Young Club. We are always looking for items for Bingo!

No Class July 3 FYC Members. 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month from 10 am to noon at St. John s School, 2525 W Oakwood Rd. Beginners Welcome Bring your own yarn/supplies to work on a project. Enjoy a cup of coffee while chatting with fellow crafters. No fee! This is a drop in activity Garden Club - Do you enjoy gardening, but not weeding, hoeing and digging in the hot sun? Do you remember fresh, home grown vegetables but don t have time for a big garden? Then you re bound to enjoy the Garden Club. Join us on May 22 at 10:00 am in the Day Room for our Spring meeting. We will be discussing our plans for the garden over a bowl of homemade vegetable soup. Garden Club meets the 2 nd & 4 th Thursday at 10:00am. May September No Charge, FYC Members only. Wii Bowling League! Like bowling? Join us on Thursdays, at 12:30 note new time for May. No Charge, FYC Members only. Wii is good for every physical level. You can sit and play as well as stand and you don t have to lift a heavy ball! 8 week League Bowl session starting May 8. EAT-N-GREET National Salad Month!! Gather in the Day Room. Thursday, May 14, 12:30 to 2:30 pm. The first thing I think of when I hear the word salad is a green salad; like a garden salad made of fresh cold lettuce. But the word salad can mean many different types of salads that include fruit or nuts and can even be a dessert salad as well. **Minimum of 8 needed by Tuesday, May 6, to avoid cancellation** Fees: FYC Members $5.00 / Non-Members $6.00 Beginning Wednesday, May 7 Fees: FYC Members $7.00 / Non-Members $8.00 Registration is limited!

You ll learn stamping techniques, share ideas and have fun making personalized cards. After serving an unjust prison sentence, Jean Valjean breaks parole in hopes of starting anew, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption and a relentless pursuit by Inspector Javert. May 30: Forest Hill Cemetery in Oak Creek will host a Memorial Day ceremony at 9:00am, Monday. The event then moves to the American Legion Post 434, which will serve hot dogs, ice cream and beverages. 6 Crunchy Pea Salad 8 Slices bacon 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed and drained ½ cup chopped celery ½ cup chopped green onions 2/3 cup sour cream 1 cup chopped cashews Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine peas, celery, scallions and sour cream. Toss gently to mix. Just before serving, stir cashews and bacon into salad. Season with salt and pepper.
