2 Minutes for HVMTC General Meeting at Charlie's Restaurant February 5 th, 2014 Meeting opened at 7.03 by Vice- President Stephanie Terrell. Members attending included Mac & Diane MacPherson, Anne Tunnell, Dale & Eleanor Stanfield, John & Karen Pepe, Tony Bowker, Virgil & Sharon White, Jim Ottaviani, Larry & Cindi Cuiffo, Les & Barbara von Nordheim, Warren Raps, Richard & Twink Bumann, Phil & Kimba Ewing, Craig & Barbara French, Marge & Ken Magers, John & Jane Alling, Bob Anderson, John Chapman and Vic & Stephanie Terrell. Stephanie lead the Pledge Stephanie commented that Doug was sick and it was good to see member John Chapman with his Guest Bob Anderson. John has a red Speedster and Bob a 1926 Roadster. Diane assured the members that we have sufficient funds to continue, with a detailed report available to members. Tony spoke about the upcoming Sierra Vista tour, we now have 23 cars and 50 people. The entry list is now closed. He also spoke about the Vista tour to visit the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe. We had a good tour out however Tony's car developed a problem and he was forced onto the Trouble Trailer, so thoughtfully pulled by Mac & Diane. After the Adobe tour the group went to Barbara & Craig's house for dessert. Cindi spoke about their adventures in Oregon, they sell ceramic puffins that are made locally. They have a large property right on Hwy 101 and many folks stop by to see the Model T's. They are planning a covered bridges tour sometime in the near future. They plan to stay here until after the Big 3 swap meet. Les mentioned a cast iron welder. at Marge is had foot surgery, using a walker but seems cheerful enough. Mac held the 50/50 drawing and Marge won $40. Being no further business, Stephanie closed the meeting at 7:40pm. It costs $25 for the year and allows unlimited admission to the San Diego Auto Museum for two people and four guest passes. Sounds like a good deal, see the brochure later in the newsletter. Tour to Rancho Buena Vista - February 1st Yet another great tour set up by Stephanie, with a great route set by Mac.

3 Tour to Rancho Buena Vista - February 1st Yet another great tour set up by Stephanie, with a great route set by Mac. As usual we met at the California Center for the Arts and there was a great turnout of vehicles, I counted 6 Model T's and two Model A's and a couple of moderns. From memory the T's were driven by Richard Bauman, John Pepe, Doug Lested, Dale Stanfield, Tony Bowker and Norm Kling. The A's were driven by Craig French and Vic Terrell. Mac and Diane handed out the route instruction and Mac gave a quick outline of the circuitous rote to Vista, run up 395 Old River road to enter Vista from the East. She explained the history of the property, it has been lived in continuously since it was founded in 1845, which explains it's excellent condition. Naturally most of the original 4000 acres has been sold off and the house expanded by the numerous owners during the last 150 years, until it was sold to the city of Vista in Following the tour most walked to the lunch restaurant, while a couple drove, were we had an excellent Chinese menu. A great day out, sorry Mac & I were not able to complete the tour. The problem on my 14 touring appears to be a leak in the carburetor float. I installed a new one and hopefully the car is ready for Sierra Vista. Thanks to Stephanie for setting up the tour, Barbara for the dessert and to Mac for the route and Trouble Truck. The derby goes in a curve straight from the rim, the bowler has a vertical straight section, then a curve across the top.
