Some trade fairs are so big and labyrinthine, it s not difficult to get lost. Others don t provide enough space for your ideas to unfurl. And then there s Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center, where there s no need to compromise on either front. Everything is easy to find, each area is clearly laid out, exhibitions work like clockwork. The exhibition areas provide all the room you need to place your organisation on a pedestal. It starts in the prestigious Events Hall, welcoming guests with its open architecture in subtle glass and stainless steel. Space, light, timbers: the four exhibition halls are also good for raising an eyebrow or two. Why? Because they re different. More sophisticated. Inviting. Enticing guests to enter and discover. All halls are on one level, uninterrupted by columns, with a floor load of 3,000 kg/m 2. And each hall offers different ways to darken the exhibition area. Events here require no extra effort: we offer the very latest AV technology to ensure everything goes without hitch. Meals here leave no wishes unfulfilled. We offer: self-service at Restaurant Eastside by the East Entrance, Café CAFETIERO, and two bistros between the exhibition halls. And for the more sophisticated palate: the Bellefoire, a glass restaurant on the top floor of the foyer with haute cuisine and a view of the trade fair to match.

It s never easy to gain a quick overview of any market. Unless you re in Karlsruhe. Where walking around a trade fair is like taking a leisurely stroll. Why? Because all four halls are within immediate walking distance of the foyer. Via glass walkways, which also ward off the rain. Standing in queues not our style, even when things are busy. Thanks in part to the second entrance area with access to its own, separate car park. Then we have a somewhat ingenious electronic guidance system and plenty of information on a big, clear LED display in the Events Hall. So visitors can see straight away where each stand is and know what s happening where. And assembly and dismantling stands is child s play. Thanks to the large Delivery Area next to each hall and eight separate gates big enough to cater for any type of delivery vehicle. And when time equals money, that s sweet music to everyone s ears.

Making the dm-arena one of the largest indoor event arenas in Germany. It s eyecatching. The materials ooze quality, the design is a statement of modernity, the wooden ceiling lends a sophisticated air. All brought together, this spells events in a unique atmosphere. And it s versatile. Sports are staged here, so are shows, company events, even complex TV productions. Because the arena is adaptable. And because it offers the state-of-the-art AV technology it takes to stage memorable events.

State building regulations (LBO Baden-Württemberg), pertinentaccident prevention regulations. Pyrotechnics subject to approval of local authorities Basic lighting in visitor / audience area: 300 lux, additional lighting tailored to the type of event (suspension points / rigging). Supply lines throughout at intervals of 6.00 m (power, water supply, waste water, telephone, data network, compressed air) Communication system Media Acoustics* The Trade Fair Center has a stand-alone telephone system for the events area. Depending on needs, all public areas can currently be set up to run 1,000 digital and analogue connections (expandable to up to 5,000 connections). There is a separate server for the internet. The entire system is wired to cater for high access volumes throughout the entire complex. In addition to the line-based system, the Trade Fair Center has its own in-house network for GSM and UMTS currently linked to the 4 main providers in Germany: T-Mobile, Vodafone, e-plus and O2 Media connections with docking site for mobile broadcast unit Special acoustic linings tailored to the most modern requirements. Karlsruhe is easy and quick to travel to. The city stands at the hub of a variety of modern transport links coming in from all points of the compass. Drivers can reach us quickly on the motorway (Autobahn) which goes right around the city. The local airport - Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden is no more than a 30 minute drive. Strasbourg and Stuttgart airports: about 60 minutes by car. Or fly into Germany s biggest international airport: Frankfurt. Intercity trains run directly from Frankfurt to Karlsruhe. It takes exactly one hour. Non-stop. Not one to go off the rails? Then reaching us is easy. Especially from Paris. Thanks to the TGV. Journey time: only three hours. And when you get here, things flow equally smoothly. Take the tram or suburban railway (S-Bahn), both shining examples of efficient German transport. Rail travel: Karlsruhe is a main railway hub for InterCityExpress (ICE), InterCity, EuroCity and InterRegio connections. And it s on the direct ICE link between Hamburg and Basle which also stops at Frankfurt. Karlsruhe is also the starting point for trains running west to east via Stuttgart to Munich. Coming from Paris it only takes around 3 hours to reach Karlsruhe on the TGV (high speed train).
