2 conferences Memorable conferences and events call for venues which are flexible and unique. Our dedicated Conference and Events team in Dublin City University will ensure that your event is a success. Each of our conference and meeting rooms on campus offer the latest technology and can create a unique and extraordinary event for 1-1,200 delegates. The Helix is an impressive multi purpose building, with multiple venues under one roof. Intelligent design, flexibility and capacity to stage the most demanding events with specialised sound and high spec lighting all contribute to the Helix s remarkable success. We also have over seventy meeting rooms across Dublin City University including numerous boardrooms, classrooms, lecture theatres and breakout rooms. Our Conference and Events team will tailor each experience to your needs and requirements.

3 a nd events The Mahony Hall This striking venue is home to many events including awards ceremonies, corporate dinners and TV shows, showcasing a different look and feel for each occasion. Some of the features include first rate acoustics, retractable seating, full sound system and lighting. There are also dressing rooms and a green room available for use. Theatre The theatre has proved a popular venue for conferences, seminars and corporate entertainment for delegates from Gallery A bright, naturally lit room, the Gallery is the perfect flat space for up to 120 delegates. Meeting rooms/ Boardrooms Within Dublin City University, we have numerous meeting rooms, classrooms and boardrooms. Melia Carroll Theatre This multi-purpose theatre is located in the Nursing School. There are numerous breakout rooms and boardrooms in this building and it is the perfect flexible space for conferences.

4 sports & events DCU Sport is a state of the art facility incorporating health, wellness and sports to meet all your exercise and leisure needs. Facilities include a 25m swimming pool, spa facilities, fitness centre with over 100 pieces of equipment, group fitness classes, and squash/racquetball/handball courts. The Sports Grounds have five grass pitches for GAA, rugby and soccer. The pavilion houses changing rooms and referees rooms. The grass pitches can also accommodate many sporting events. The Soccer Centre has five 5-a-side pitches for recreational games and leagues and a larger pitch for squad training. Included in this centre is a covered four lane 75m sprint track. DCU Sport have hosted many large events in the Sports Arena and the Sports Grounds, including the World Junior Ultimate Championship, the Northern European Gymnastics Championships, Special Olympics and Paralympics and many more. In DCU we pride ourselves on offering world class facilities for any sporting event.

5 catering With catering on site, the Conference Office can take care of all your dining needs. Whether it is a welcome wine and canapé reception, a sumptuous banquet dinner, a working buffet lunch or simply refreshments for your delegates, we can meet all your requirements. The Long Room dates back to 1838 and specialises in fine dining and was part of the old agricultural college. It provides a tranquil atmosphere for receptions and banquets. The reclaimed wooden tables, long elegant windows and dark wooden floors add to the character and ambience of the room. The Lounge is on the first floor of the 1838 Club and has a connecting door to the Long Room. It is furnished with couches and low tables and is used as an ante - room to the dining area. Perfect for pre- dinner drinks and can easily accommodate 70 people at a time. Our main restaurant can facilitate functions for up to 800 banquet style and is also ideal for buffet lunches. We also have numerous smaller dining areas and cafes on site.

6 accommodation We offer a range of accommodation during the summer months including standard and superior accommodation. Our apartments are impeccably designed and are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and a shared living and kitchen area. We have over 1000 bedrooms available in the summer months, which are all ensuite and our rates are inclusive of breakfast. The versatility of our accommodation makes us ideal for groups and conference delegates. In addition to our range of summer accommodation options we also have visitor suites, which are available throughout the year. These comfortable and luxurious apartments are ideal for delegates, visiting academics and plenary speakers at conferences.
