With its beautiful location at the mouth of the Göta Älv and surrounded by a magnificent archipelago, Gothenburg is one of Northern Europe s most attractive cities. It s friendly and pleasant, and just the right size. Gothenburg has extensive experience of hosting and arranging meetings and events of all sizes. A highly developed, effective network between the city, higher education, industry and organisations makes fast and professional complete solutions possible. The city s main advantages as a venue for meetings are that it is experienced, easily accessible, attractive, sustainable and affordable, with everything within walking distance. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre is located in the centre of Gothenburg with excellent transport links, which makes it easy to visit us. The airport bus stops right outside on Korsvägen, whisking you to Landvetter Airport in just 20 minutes. We are next-door to Liseberg, one of the biggest amusement parks in northern Europe, and just a couple of blocks from fashionable Avenyn. Restaurants, entertainment, shopping, sports, culture and services are all just a short walk away, making our location ideal for all manner of activities.

Our meeting facilities are sustainable and we constantly adapt to ensure that our environmental impact is as limited as possible. Gothenburg is found in the heart of Scandinavia. Easily accessible from around the world, only two hours from London, Paris and Vienna. There are two international airports and around 70 non-stop direct connections from more than 50 European destinations. Experienced & Sustainable Sweden s first trade fair was held here in 1918 and was opened by King Gustav V. Almost a century of experiences has helped us to develop the expertise of matching the right resources to our customers different needs. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre is running a portfolio of 30 fairs within the fields of industry, lifestyle and society, which gives you access to the industry s leading resources. Our long experience and know-how of successful cross-boundary cooperation between different stakeholders will help to ensure the success of any event. Whether working with a fully dedicated in-house project team, with a Head Project Manager coordinating your specific needs between area managers in other departments, e.g. exhibition, technical services, accommodation and catering, or simply making a meeting reservation for two, our staff will do all they can to ensure that every experience is a success. Since 2010, strategic work has been carried out in connection with developing Gothenburg as a sustainable meeting destination. The Sustainable Gothenburg and Green Gothenburg concepts have been launched. The International Convention & Congresses Association (ICCA) Scandinavian Chapter brings together the five Nordic nations in a common benchmarking tool the Sustainable Index in which Gothenburg was ranked top in the first two measurements. The United Nations World Travel Organization (UNWTO) now wants the Sustainable Index to be used as a standardised tool for the worldwide industry. The project Sustainable Gothenburg is run by Göteborg & Co, the SECC and the Environment Administration of the City of Gothenburg. The mission of the project is to position Gothenburg as a global leading destination for sustainable meetings and events.

The logistics are easily but carefully planned, as everything including meeting rooms, exhibition space, hotel rooms, catering and networking areas is well-connected. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers offer you a full-service facility, a one-stop-shop, including: Exhibition management Expertise in conducting successful exhibitions, with services including selling space, creating and developing sponsor packages, stand packages, stand products and fittings, insurances, transport services, on-site logistics services and much more. Technical products and services The latest meeting and event technology is available from our in-house department, including presentation equipment, network systems, filming and streaming, AV, sound, lighting, show packages and much more. Project management A primary contact person coordinating area managers in other departments such as accommodation, catering, technical services and exhibition management. They all have the common goal of preparing for and delivering a truly successful event. Added-value services These services include event design, signs, decorations, flower arrangements, furniture and much more. You can increase the visibility of your congress/event/ fair at strategic locations all around the venue, inside as well as outside. 9 Our hotels Gothia Towers is one of the largest hotels in Europe wth 1,200 tastefully decorated rooms, most of which feature magnificent views of the city. We offer everything from well-equipped comfort to decadent luxury. The décor is carefully selected and updated, with beautiful textiles and wood accents. The aim is that you should feel at home and get a great night s sleep. Upper House opened at the top of our middle tower in September This is a brand new hotel of the highest international standard, with an extraordinary restaurant and an exclusive spa. All with fantastic views over Gothenburg. At our 4-star Gothia Towers and the 5-star Upper House we combine capacity and virtually unlimited possibilities with personal attention and quality.
